Caliper render for this kit:

The Mk4 Golf 2.8 V6 hangs a heavy 24-valve VR6 over its front axle, and the standard brakes feel every kilo of it on a long downhill or a third lap of a circuit. This XYZ Racing front brake kit replaces the original front setup with a larger disc and an uprated caliper, giving a nose-heavy, front-drive Golf the thermal headroom its kerb weight demands.
It is a bolt-on upgrade for the front axle only, specified for cars that left the factory with the two-piece OE caliper. Pad compound runs from Street road through a harder Sport material to a full Racing pad, so the kit suits a daily-driven V6 and one that sees regular track time alike.
What this brake kit does for your 1999-2003 Volkswagen Golf 4 2.8 V6 24V
Fit it and the first thing you notice is pedal feel: a firmer, more linear bite that makes a car the wrong side of 1,300 kg far easier to place under braking. The larger two-piece floating rotor adds thermal mass and resists the fade that creeps into the standard front brakes after repeated heavy stops, so a run of laps or a fast mountain descent stays consistent rather than going long and soft. Matching the pad compound to how you drive sharpens that further, with the Racing material holding bite at temperatures that overwhelm a road pad, the Sport pad adding bite for fast road, and the Street pad keeping quiet, low-dust daily manners. On a front-wheel-drive Golf that leans on its front axle through every corner entry, more stable front braking also lets you trail the brakes deeper without the nose washing wide.
About the Hollow front brake kit
XYZ Racing build this as a front big brake kit: a larger-diameter two-piece floating disc and a performance fixed caliper that replace the standard front components on the V6 Golf. The bigger rotor carries more heat, which is the main reason a kit like this keeps a solid pedal once temperatures climb. The caliper is a hollow body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing version rated to 1000C, a two-year warranty and no dust cover for serious circuit work. Pad material is a choice rather than a fixed item, with three compounds offered: a Street pad for road use, a Sport pad for hard fast-road and occasional track work, and a Racing compound for sustained circuit sessions. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and the caliper can be finished in an included painted colour or a premium polished or candy option, with a two-tone anodized or titanium centre bell selectable at checkout, so the assembly can sit discreetly behind the wheel or stand proud of it. Every part of the kit targets the front axle, where this car does the bulk of its braking.
Fitment for the Volkswagen Golf 4 2.8 V6 24V (1999-2003)
This XYZ Racing kit fits the front axle of the Volkswagen Golf 4 2.8 V6 24V across the 1999-2003 build years, supplied as a pair of front corners. It is specified only for cars that left the factory with the two-piece OE front caliper, so confirm which caliper your car carries before ordering, as the Mk4 V6 was supplied with more than one front brake arrangement. It is a front-only kit and does not alter the rear brakes.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
