Caliper render for this kit:

The Corrado puts a lot of mass over its front axle, and the VR6 and supercharged G60 cars only make that worse: every hard stop loads the nose, fades the standard pads and cooks the OE discs on a warm track day. This XYZ Racing front big brake kit answers that directly, adding thermal capacity and bite where a front-drive Corrado actually needs it. It is the front upgrade for owners who have outgrown the factory two-piece caliper setup but want a clean, bolt-on solution rather than a fabricated one-off.
Built specifically for 1988-1995 Corrados running the two-piece OE caliper, the kit pairs a larger two-piece floating front disc with a multi-piston caliper and a choice of pad compound. The floating disc design trims rotating and unsprung mass at the corner that matters most on this chassis, sharpening turn-in without piling weight onto a nose that is already carrying the engine.
What this big brake kit does for your 1988-1995 Volkswagen Corrado
After fitting, the first thing you notice is a firmer, more progressive pedal. The rigid caliper flexes far less than the tired OE two-piece unit, so braking effort maps cleanly to deceleration. The larger disc and increased pad area resist the fade that ends most Corrado track sessions early, holding consistent stopping power through repeat heavy stops rather than going long after three or four laps. Choose the Street compound for daily and fast-road use with quiet, low-dust manners, the Sport compound for spirited B-road and occasional circuit work, or the Racing compound when the car sees regular lapping. The floating disc also lowers rotating mass, which helps steering response and lets the front tyres settle more quickly mid-corner.
About the Hollow front brake kit
The kit centres on a lightweight two-piece floating disc, a construction that sheds weight from the rotating assembly while keeping the swept area and venting needed to manage heat. It mounts a multi-piston front caliper in place of the original two-piece unit, increasing pad contact and clamp rigidity for a more linear pedal. The caliper is a hollow body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing version rated to 1000C, a two-year warranty and no dust cover for cars used hard on track. Three pad compounds are offered, Street, Sport and Racing, so the same hardware covers a road-biased Corrado or a track-focused one without changing the disc or caliper. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and the caliper can be finished in an included painted colour or a premium polished or candy option, with a two-tone anodized or titanium centre bell selectable at checkout, so the kit suits a factory-look restoration or a louder show-and-go build behind open wheels. The whole package is engineered as a direct fit to the front of the Corrado, keeping installation straightforward for a home or specialist workshop.
Fitment for the Volkswagen Corrado (1988-1995)
This kit fits the front axle of the Volkswagen Corrado built between 1988 and 1995, supplied as a pair of left and right corners, and is intended only for cars running the two-piece OE caliper. Confirm your existing caliper type before ordering, as the single-piece variants use a different mount. It is a front-only kit covering the full 1988-1995 production span of the two-piece-caliper Corrado.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
