Caliper render for this kit:

At more than two tonnes with over 1,000bhp on tap, the Model S Plaid asks more of its rear brakes than almost any saloon on a UK road. The drivetrain reaches three figures in seconds, and the friction brakes spend their life hauling that mass back down again. Regenerative braking masks the strain on a commute, but on a track day or a committed B-road run the rear discs do genuine work, and that is where a standard rear setup starts to fade.
The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Tesla Model S Plaid is the rear half of a proper big brake upgrade for that exact load, supplied as a matched pair of left and right corners. The two-piece floating disc trims rotating mass while the larger disc and caliper give the rear axle the thermal headroom to keep biting through repeated hard stops rather than going long and soft.
What this brake kit does for your 2023-2026 Tesla Model S Plaid
The benefit you feel first is consistency: a heavier, larger rear disc soaks up and sheds heat better, so pedal travel and bite stay predictable from your first stop to your last. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match the rear axle to how you actually drive the Plaid, from quiet daily running through fast road to sustained track sessions where pad fade is the real enemy. Adding rear stopping power also helps balance a car that throws a lot of weight forward under heavy braking, steadying the chassis as you trail into a corner. And with painted caliper colour options at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, plus a Custom Pantone, the kit looks the part behind the wheels without shouting about it.
About the Hollow brake kit
The Hollow series centres on a two-piece floating disc, where the friction ring floats against an alloy bell to cut rotating and unsprung mass at each rear corner, a meaningful gain on a car as heavy as the Plaid. As a big brake kit, it upsizes the rear disc and pairs it with a performance caliper, a hollow-cast forging as standard, raising the thermal ceiling so the brakes resist fade under the repeated high-energy stops a 1,000bhp EV generates; a Hollow Racing caliper rated to 1000C with a two-year warranty is available for dedicated circuit use. Pad compound is specified to suit the job: the Street compound for road use, the Sport compound for harder fast-road driving and occasional track work, and the Racing compound for circuit work where consistency under heat matters most. Painted caliper colours come at no cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 plus premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver and candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange finishes; disc faces are drilled or slotted at the same price, and the centre bell upgrades to a five-colour anodized two-tone or titanium at checkout. It is engineered as a rear-axle kit, designed to complement a front upgrade rather than work alone.
Fitment for the Tesla Model S Plaid (2023-2026)
This kit is built for the rear axle of the Tesla Model S Plaid across the 2023 to 2026 model years. It is a rear-specific fitment, so confirm you are configuring the correct axle for your car. Pad compound and caliper colour are both selectable when you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
