Caliper render for this kit:

The J31 Teana was engineered to waft. It is a soft-sprung, nose-heavy front-drive saloon with a VQ-series V6 slung ahead of the front axle, and that layout loads the front brakes heavily while leaving the rear axle under-worked. On a heavy executive saloon that imbalance shows up as a long, soft pedal and rear discs that struggle to shed heat on a sustained descent. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Big Brake Kit for the Nissan Teana J31 attacks that back-axle weakness head on.
This is a rear-axle upgrade for owners who use the J31’s quiet pace rather than just its comfort. Supplied as a matched pair of left and right rear corners, it pairs larger two-piece floating discs and hollow-body calipers with a choice of pad compound, so the rear bias can be set to suit a relaxed commute or a harder cross-country drive.
What this brake kit does for your 2002-2008 Nissan TEANA J31
Fit it and the first thing you notice is a firmer, more progressive rear contribution under braking, which steadies the J31’s tail when you trail the brakes into a roundabout or a tightening bend. The bigger rear disc carries more thermal mass, so repeated stops from motorway speed no longer leave the back axle smelling hot and feeling vague, and the two-piece floating construction lets the rotor expand evenly under heat instead of coning. Pad choice does real work here: the Street compound keeps things quiet and clean for daily use, the Sport compound adds bite and fade resistance for spirited road driving with occasional track, and the Racing compound holds its friction when the car is worked hard. The hollow-vane discs trim rotating and unsprung mass. Across all three pads, the payoff is a pedal that stays consistent and a rear end that helps the car stop square rather than washing wide.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
XYZ Racing’s Hollow line takes its name from a lightened disc design that trims rotating and unsprung mass at the rear through hollow internal vanes, which helps the suspension follow the road and keeps the brakes responsive. As a big brake kit it sits a larger two-piece floating disc and hollow-body caliper behind the rear wheels than the factory Teana hardware, lifting both clamping force and heat capacity at the axle the standard car neglects. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with a two-tone centre bell in five anodized colours or titanium selectable at checkout. The kit is offered as a single rear-axle pair with three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, so the friction level matches the use rather than locking you into one setting. Calipers are included at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and candy options in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. A Hollow Racing caliper upgrade is available for harder use, with no dust cover, a 1000C rating and a two-year warranty. It is a focused rear kit rather than a full overhaul, built to correct the J31’s front-loaded brake balance.
Fitment for the Nissan TEANA J31 (2002-2008)
This kit is cut for the J31-generation Nissan Teana built between 2002 and 2008. It fits the rear axle only and is configured through pad compound, disc style and caliper colour in the buy options above. Confirm your chassis is the J31 against the year range before you order, since rear hardware varies across Nissan’s saloons of the period.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
