Caliper render for this kit:

The Z32 300ZX was a heavyweight by design: a 1,500kg-plus grand tourer that the VG30 could carry down a straight far faster than its standard rear discs ever wanted to scrub off. This XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Nissan 300ZX Z32 (1990-1996) targets the back axle specifically, where a heavy, rear-biased GT loads its rear brakes harder than most owners expect on a long downhill or a quick succession of stops.
Run alongside a front upgrade or fitted on its own to rebalance bias, this single rear-axle kit fits a matched pair of rear calipers and two-piece floating discs, pairing hollow-vane construction with a choice of pad compounds. On a car now firmly in JDM-icon territory, this is the upgrade that turns nervous, heat-soaked rear braking into something you can lean on through fast road and track driving.
What this brake kit does for your 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX Z32
The hollow-vane disc design strips rotating and unsprung mass from the rear axle, which helps the back of the Z32 settle more cleanly as you load the brakes into a corner. Greater thermal capacity at the rear stops the braking bias creeping forward as the front discs heat up, so the car stays stable under trail braking rather than going light and skittish at the back. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match bite and fade resistance to how you actually drive, from town use to repeated track stops. On HICAS-equipped cars in particular, consistent rear behaviour keeps the rear-steer feeling predictable instead of edgy. The result is a heavy GT that pulls up straight and repeatable instead of fading after a couple of hard applications.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
This is a rear-axle big brake kit built around hollow-vane, vented two-piece floating discs that shed weight and shift heat faster than a solid casting of the same size. The hollow construction is the headline feature: it lowers the rotating mass each rear wheel has to control while opening up internal airflow for cooling, which is exactly what a 300ZX needs once the brakes are working hard. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard. The kit ships with a choice of three pad compounds: a Street pad for road use, a Sport compound for spirited fast-road driving, and a Racing compound for track sessions where heat is the enemy. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable when you order. Calipers are offered in the included no-cost finishes, Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone and premium polished-forged and candy options, so the rear hardware can be matched to the front kit or to the car’s overall look. It is engineered as a direct rear upgrade for the Z32 platform, focused on heat management and pedal consistency rather than headline numbers alone.
Fitment for the Nissan 300ZX Z32 (1990-1996)
This kit is built for the Nissan 300ZX Z32 across the 1990 to 1996 model span and fits the rear axle. It is a Z32-specific application, so confirm your car falls within that year range before configuring. Caliper colour and pad compound are selected from the options above to suit your build.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
