Caliper render for this kit:

The W221 S 65 AMG carries a twin-turbo V12 and a full limousine body at well over two tonnes, and every stop asks the rear axle to help settle that mass without the back end going vague. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Mercedes Benz S Class W221 S 65 AMG is built to give that rear axle more thermal headroom and a firmer, more repeatable pedal than the standard hardware holds onto once the car is being driven hard.
This is a rear-specific kit, so it is as much about brake balance as outright stopping power. The point is to keep the back brakes pulling their weight alongside the fronts when you scrub a heavy S 65 down from sustained high-speed cruising, rather than letting the rears fade early and throwing all the work onto the front axle.
What this rear big brake kit does for your 2005-2013 Mercedes Benz S Class W221 S 65 AMG
After fitting, the change you feel first is consistency: the pedal stays firm through repeated heavy stops instead of going long and soft as heat builds. The hollow-vane two-piece floating disc sheds weight and exposes more vane area to airflow, so the rear discs recover temperature faster between braking events, which matters on a car this heavy. Choosing the right pad compound lets you tune the rear bite to how you actually drive: Street for quiet daily refinement, Sport for spirited road use with more bite and heat range, and Racing for harder driving where outright fade resistance matters most. The larger rear hardware sitting behind the wheels also gives the car a more purposeful look without touching the air suspension or ride height.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The Hollow rear brake kit pairs a two-piece floating, hollow-vane disc with a fixed caliper to cut unsprung mass and improve heat management at the rear axle. The venting and the hollow vanes work together to move heat out of the rotor quickly, which is what keeps performance stable when the brakes are used hard and often. The caliper body is hollow as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use, rated to 1000C with no dust cover and a two-year warranty. Three pad compounds are offered, Street, Sport and Racing, so you can set the kit up for everyday refinement, spirited road use, or harder driving. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable. Caliper finish is a build choice too, available at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange, or a Custom Pantone for 150 pounds. It is a bolt-on upgrade aimed at owners who want stronger, more repeatable rear braking on a heavy V12 saloon.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz S Class W221 S 65 AMG (2005-2013)
This kit is matched to the W221-chassis S 65 AMG built from 2005 to 2013, and is the rear-axle component of the brake setup. It is specific to the S 65 AMG variant rather than the wider S Class range, so confirm your chassis code and model year against the listing before you order.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
