Caliper render for this kit:

Twenty years of W211 E-Class ownership have produced a clear consensus on the standard front brakes: adequate for the sustained motorway miles this generation was built around, marginal once the V6 is being used with intent. The W211’s four-link front suspension geometry is capable of more than the factory calibration suggests, and the limiting factor is frequently the braking setup, which shows fade under the kind of repeated application a track day or alpine descent demands from a car approaching 1,700 kg.
The XYZ Racing front brake kit for the Mercedes Benz E CLASS W211 E 280 addresses that limit directly. Supplied as a pair of front discs and calipers, it uses two-piece floating discs with hollow-vane heat management at the front axle, and three pad compounds let buyers configure for their actual operating conditions rather than the median case the factory spec was built around.
What this brake kit does for your 2003-2009 Mercedes Benz E CLASS W211 E 280
The hollow-vane disc design targets the W211’s persistent characteristic under hard use: heat retention at the front axle. Conventional vented discs manage heat adequately; the internal vane geometry evacuates it faster, extending the effective pedal window before fade begins affecting stopping distances. On a car of the E 280’s mass, that margin matters, because braking distances are not modest to begin with and any degradation in pad bite under temperature amplifies the problem. Reduced rotating mass at the front corners also lifts steering response.
Owners whose W211 sees regular circuit sessions can specify the Racing compound from the outset rather than compromising on a road pad that works at moderate temperatures but not at sustained high ones. Street covers quiet, low-dust daily driving; Sport bridges the gap for fast-road work. Discs are offered drilled or slotted at the same price. Caliper colour, Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone match or premium polished-forged and candy finishes available, brings visual coherence to the front axle, particularly on examples running larger aftermarket wheels where the caliper sits more prominently within the rim face.
About the XYZ Racing front brake kit
The two-piece floating disc architecture uses internal vanes to accelerate heat transfer away from the friction surfaces more aggressively than a standard vented disc achieves, and lets the friction ring expand independently of the bell to resist warping. On a W211 E 280 under sustained hard braking, disc temperatures can compromise conventional discs earlier than the driver expects; this construction pushes that threshold upward. The caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing caliper, no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty, for serious track use. Braided lines firm the pedal. The front-axle specification reflects where braking load concentrates on the W211 under hard deceleration. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, plus centre bell upgrades in five anodized colours or titanium, complete the build.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz E CLASS W211 E 280 (2003-2009)
This kit covers the W211-chassis E CLASS in E 280 specification, from the 2003 model year through to the end of production in 2009. The W211 ran with detail changes across that period; this fitment covers the complete window. Installation is at the front axle. Buyers planning complementary rear brake upgrades should confirm that specification separately.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
