Caliper render for this kit:

At over 1,700kg across the range, and approaching 1,900kg in V8 form, the C218 CLS is a heavy car that asks a lot of its front brakes. The factory hardware copes in everyday use, but sustained hard driving through a mountain descent, a back-road session or an occasional circuit visit will find the thermal limits of stock discs and pads sooner than the platform’s straight-line performance might suggest.
The XYZ Racing front brake kit for the Mercedes Benz CLS C218 addresses that gap with a pair of larger calipers and discs for the leading axle. Three pad compounds spanning Street through to Racing, alongside a full range of caliper finishes, make this a kit that fits around how you actually use the car. You set the specification when you order from the options above.
What this brake kit does for your 2011-2018 Mercedes Benz CLS C218
On a four-door GT with the C218’s weight and front-heavy bias under deceleration, the front axle absorbs the greater part of braking force; upgraded swept area and friction material directly improve thermal capacity and pedal feel as temperatures climb. The Sport compound delivers sharper cold bite and cleaner modulation than the standard fitment, which matters on a car used hard on public roads between occasional heavy stops. The Racing compound takes the kit into territory where repeated high-temperature braking is the norm, while Street stays quiet and low-dust for daily running.
The hollow-vane disc vents air through the rotor body to manage heat, and the lighter two-piece floating disc trims rotating and unsprung mass at the front corners. Discs are available drilled or slotted at the same price.
About the XYZ Racing Front Brake Kit
This front kit is built around the front-axle demands of a car that sits at the upper end of the GT category in both mass and performance. The caliper is hollow-body forged as standard, paired with two-piece floating discs and braided lines for a firm pedal. Three pad compounds are offered at order: Street for daily and light fast-road use, Sport for a more committed fast-road setup, and Racing for track applications where heat management over multiple braking events is the priority.
Included caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with Custom Color matching any Pantone for 150 pounds. Premium polished-forged finishes cover Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and the candy range adds Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red and Candy Orange. Centre bells can be two-tone in five anodized colours or titanium, and the optional Hollow Racing caliper, rated to 1000C with no dust cover and a two-year warranty, suits serious track use. On a car as design-attentive as the CLS, where the caliper shows through the spokes of almost any wheel, that selection is worth spending time on. This is the front-axle kit; rear specification is a separate item.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz CLS C218 (2011-2018)
This kit covers the Mercedes Benz CLS C218 across the full production run from 2011 to 2018, encompassing both the original specification and the revised 2014-onward model. The front-axle fitment applies across the C218 range. If your car carries the AMG sports brake package or any dealer-fitted brake upgrade, confirm the front caliper carrier dimensions before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
