Caliper render for this kit:

The W203’s M112 V6 is smooth and deceptively quick, but the stock front braking setup was sized for a car Mercedes assumed would spend its life on motorways and B-roads, not being hauled into late-braking corners on circuit. Under sustained heat, whether a track day at Snetterton, a spirited Alpine pass or a rolling descent repeated three times over, the standard fade is real, and the soft pedal travel that follows is not where you want to be in a 1,450 kg rear-wheel-drive saloon with weight transferring sharply onto the front axle.
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit for the W203 C 240 addresses that limitation at its source. It is a matched pair of left and right calipers with two-piece floating discs, the hollow-vane construction pulling heat away from the swept face more aggressively, and with three pad compounds running from Street through Sport to Racing, the kit spans everything from restored everyday use to genuine circuit work.
What this brake kit does for your 2000-2007 Mercedes Benz C CLASS W203 C 240
The front axle on the W203 carries the dominant share of braking load under hard stops, a physics reality that concentrates serious thermal demand on the discs. The hollow-vane construction improves heat extraction from the rotor face, which translates into more consistent pedal feel across back-to-back stops and a reduced tendency for the bite point to migrate as temperatures climb. Step up to the Racing compound and the threshold braking point the C 240 can reach becomes more repeatable and more exploitable under trail-braking. Reduced rotating and unsprung mass sharpens response, the two-piece floating disc controls expansion, and braided lines keep the pedal firm in place of swelling rubber hoses.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The hollow-vane disc architecture that gives this kit its name prioritises thermal extraction: the internal vane geometry draws heat away from the swept surface more effectively than conventional solid-vane construction, reducing the temperature differential across the disc face that causes warping and inconsistent bite under sustained use. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard. Three pad compounds are available at the point of order. Street is the quiet, low-dust compound where cold-bite manners and longevity take precedence; Sport raises the thermal ceiling for fast-road and occasional track use; Racing is tuned to a higher operating temperature window where consistent performance under repeated heavy stops is the priority. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and an optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade for serious track use drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty.
Caliper finish is chosen when you order. Five painted colours are included at no extra cost: Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, plus candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. Two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours, or titanium, are selectable at checkout, so the upgrade is visible to the eye as well as felt through the pedal.
Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C CLASS W203 C 240 (2000-2007)
This front brake kit is confirmed for the Mercedes Benz C Class W203 in C 240 specification, covering the full 2000 to 2007 production run. The W203 platform ran across saloon, SportCoupe and estate body styles through this period; buyers should confirm their body style and existing front brake configuration before ordering, as caliper carrier dimensions can differ across variants within the same chassis generation.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
