Caliper render for this kit:

The GJ-series Mazda 6 ATENZA was one of the most driver-focused family saloons of its generation, a front-wheel-drive platform built around SKYACTIV chassis engineering that genuinely rewarded corner commitment rather than simply tolerating it. That dynamic intent has a direct consequence for the brakes: on a FWD car the front axle absorbs the majority of deceleration force, and on a chassis that encourages the driver to press on, that load arrives harder and more often than it would in a more passive saloon.
Against that, the XYZ Racing front big brake kit for the 2013-2014 Mazda 6 (ATENZA) matches the car’s chassis potential. You receive a pair of front calipers and a pair of front discs, with three pad compounds, disc style, and caliper finish all chosen above this copy when you order, so you calibrate the kit to actual usage rather than a theoretical average.
What this brake kit does for your 2013-2014 Mazda 6 (ATENZA)
Braking on FWD platforms follows a specific logic: deceleration is disproportionately a front-axle event, and the factory specification is engineered to a cost and duty-cycle that does not always account for an owner using the car’s handling fully. Fitting this kit puts upgraded hardware where the GJ Mazda 6 needs it, managing heat accumulation across the nose under sustained hard use. The hollow-vane disc holds heat off the friction face, two-piece floating discs cut rotating and unsprung mass, and braided lines firm the pedal by removing rubber-hose expansion. Sport raises the operating threshold for fast-road driving where the factory pad would soften, Racing handles repeated high-load applications from speed on circuit, and Street is the quiet, low-dust default that preserves cold-morning bite without a track compound’s reluctance to work cold.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
This is XYZ Racing’s front-axle upgrade for fitment-specific applications, for owners who want a step-change in front brake hardware rather than a consumable swap. The kit is configured when you order: pad compound runs Street for everyday use, Sport for the elevated temperatures of sustained fast-road driving, and Racing for circuit sessions of repeated hard applications from speed. The caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, light yet stiff, and for hard track use the optional Hollow Racing caliper deletes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C, and carries a two-year warranty. The big-brake classification separates this from a pad-only or rotor-only change; it is a complete front-axle hardware upgrade for the 2013-2014 Mazda 6 (ATENZA).
Discs can be drilled or slotted at the same price, with centre bells available two-tone in five anodized colours or titanium. Included caliper colours, at no extra cost, are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black. A Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver finishes and a candy range of Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, and Candy Orange.
Fitment for the Mazda 6 (ATENZA) (2013-2014)
This listing covers the Mazda 6 (ATENZA) from 2013 through 2014, the opening years of the GJ-generation platform. The ATENZA designation is Mazda’s Japanese domestic market naming for the 6; in the UK this aligns with the third-generation Mazda 6 saloon and estate. GJ production continued past 2014, and later build years are listed under separate fitments, so confirm your model year before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
