Caliper render for this kit:

The second-generation NX (AZ20) is a heavy thing to slow down. In 450h+ plug-in form it crowds 2.1 tonnes, and the rear axle carries battery mass that the factory brakes were sized to manage on a spec sheet rather than on a long Alpine descent with a full cabin. This XYZ Racing Hollow rear brake kit for the Lexus NX (AZ20) goes straight at that thermal ceiling, adding rotating area and a stiffer caliper where the standard setup runs out of headroom.
On a TNGA-K crossover the rear brakes spend most of their working life shadowed by regenerative braking, which quietly masks pad glaze and uneven disc wear until the moment you actually need mechanical friction. A larger, lighter two-piece floating disc restores honest pedal feedback and gives the back axle the bite to help settle the NX under trail-braking, instead of asking the fronts to carry everything.
What this brake kit does for your 2021-2026 Lexus NX (AZ20)
The two-piece floating disc trims rotating and unsprung mass at each rear corner, which sharpens turn-in slightly and calms wheel hop over broken B-road surfaces, useful on a tall, softly damped SUV. You feel it most as fade resistance: repeated heavy stops on a motorway run or a loaded descent no longer push the pedal long. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match bite and dust levels to how you actually use the car, from quiet commuting on the Street pad, through the firmer Sport compound for spirited weekend driving, to a Racing compound for sustained track heat. And because the caliper ships painted in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with premium and Custom Color routes besides, the upgrade reads behind the wheel spokes rather than hiding.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow rear brake kit pairs an enlarged two-piece floating disc with a multi-piston fixed caliper that clamps more evenly than the sliding-pin rear arrangement it replaces. The disc is the centre of the design: internal venting and a lightened structure shed weight while increasing the surface area available to dump heat, so the assembly recovers faster between stops. Caliper rigidity is the other half of the story; the hollow-bodied caliper keeps the pad square to the disc under load, which is what gives you a firm, repeatable pedal rather than a long, mushy one once temperatures climb. Track-focused owners can step up to the optional Hollow Racing caliper, which drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. The three compound options span Street, Sport and a Racing friction material, so the same hardware suits a daily NX or a heavily driven one. Calipers come painted in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange, or a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells available at checkout.
Fitment for the Lexus NX (AZ20) (2021-2026)
This kit is cut for the AZ20-generation Lexus NX built from 2021 to 2026, fitting the rear axle as a pair. It is a direct rear-position upgrade for the second-generation car; confirm your exact NX variant and wheel clearance against the options above before ordering, as the larger disc needs room behind the spokes.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
