Caliper render for this kit:

The XE20 IS 250’s front brakes were calibrated for Lexus’s priority: refinement first. That is fine cruising between motorway junctions, but on a track day or a committed blast through Welsh mountain roads, the stock setup reveals its limits. Repeated hard stops heat the discs and pads into the territory where pedal feel softens and distances stretch. The XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit is the answer the IS 250 XE20 should have had from the factory.
Fitted to the front axle, where nearly all the IS 250’s stopping force is generated, this kit raises the thermal ceiling the car can work within. It is supplied as a matched pair of front calipers and two-piece floating discs. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, mean you can match the same hardware to whatever you are doing with the car that weekend.
What this brake kit does for your 2006-2012 Lexus IS 250 (XE20)
Hollow-vane disc construction is the centrepiece. Where a conventional vented disc absorbs heat until its friction coefficient drops, the hollow architecture moves heat off the swept surface more aggressively through the rotor body, keeping pad and disc temperatures in the range where braking force stays linear and predictable. For a rear-wheel-drive saloon with the IS 250’s front-biased weight transfer under braking, that consistency means shorter stops and more confidence in late braking zones. The three-way compound choice lets you run Street, the quiet, low-dust default, on the road without scrubbing expensive Racing pads, Sport for spirited fast-road use, then swap to Racing spec for circuit work using the same caliper and disc. Caliper colour is included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, or Anodized Black at no extra cost, sitting behind the XE20’s alloys where brake hardware is clearly visible. Custom Color matches any Pantone for £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The kit is built around a hollow-vane disc developed to manage sustained thermal load better than a standard replacement disc. The hollow geometry gives the disc greater effective area for heat dissipation without adding bulk, a meaningful advantage when the same hardware is asked to perform across a full afternoon of circuit sessions or an extended fast-road run. The two-piece floating disc lets the rotor expand cleanly under heat, and braided lines keep the pedal firm. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for repeat heavy braking on circuit, no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty. Pad compounds span Street, Sport, and Racing grades, each matched to different use intensities, so owners are not locked into a single operating window. Caliper colour is included across Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black, with Custom Color and premium finishes alongside, letting the visible components complement a wider build. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized centre bells in five colours or titanium selectable at checkout. The kit addresses the front axle specifically, where the primary braking load sits on the XE20 platform.
Fitment for the Lexus IS 250 (XE20) (2006-2012)
This front brake kit is confirmed for the Lexus IS 250 in XE20 body generation, covering model years 2006 to 2012. The XE20 IS 250 in the UK market ran the 4GR-FSE 2.5-litre V6 in rear-wheel-drive configuration throughout this span. If you are working with the IS 350 or the diesel IS 220d on the same platform, those require separate fitment verification; this listing is IS 250 XE20 specific.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
