Caliper render for this kit:

The YP-generation Grand Carnival is a big, nose-heavy people carrier, and for most of its life the rear axle is asked to do comparatively little. Load it with seven or eight occupants and a boot stacked with luggage, though, and the weight sitting over the back wheels climbs sharply, which is exactly when a standard rear brake starts to show its limits on a long descent. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit for the Kia Grand Carnival (2015-2020) answers that by fitting a larger, better-cooled rear setup to an MPV that regularly runs at full capacity.
This is a rear-axle upgrade rather than a circuit part, and it is judged on the things a Grand Carnival driver actually cares about: repeatable stopping power with the family aboard, less heat soak on motorway slip roads and hill descents, and a firmer pedal when the car is heavy. Pad compound and caliper finish are both yours to specify.
What this rear brake kit does for your 2015-2020 Kia Grand Carnival
The clearest gain is heat management. A larger rear disc carries more thermal mass, so the kit copes with the repeated heavy stops a fully laden Grand Carnival makes on a winding A-road or a long motorway descent without the fade you feel from a tired original setup. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, let you match bite and temperature window to how the MPV is really used, from gentle family duty to harder loaded work. Because the rear does proportionally more of the braking once the car is heavy, the upgrade also tidies up overall balance and shortens the distance you travel before everything settles. The result is a pedal that feels firmer and more progressive, which is reassurance you notice most with people in every seat.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The kit is XYZ Racing’s bolt-on rear-axle pair, built for a vehicle that left the factory with brakes sized for average rather than maximum loads. At its core is a pair of larger two-piece floating discs paired with uprated calipers, the two together raising thermal capacity and resisting fade far better than the original components, and the hollow-vane rotor casting keeps weight in check while the vanes pull heat clear. It is supplied with a choice of three pad compounds, Street for everyday driving, Sport for keener road use, and Racing for the hardest, hottest work, so the kit can be specified around the duty the Grand Carnival sees. The caliper is hollow-body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for heavy use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Calipers are painted at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange) finishes, all visible through the rear wheels. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, with two-tone anodized or titanium centre bells selectable at checkout. The whole assembly is designed as a direct-fit upgrade for the Grand Carnival’s rear hubs, keeping the job straightforward for a competent workshop.
Fitment for the Kia Grand Carnival (2015-2020)
This kit is cut specifically for the Kia Grand Carnival across the 2015 to 2020 model years and fits the rear axle only, as a pair of calipers and discs. No trim-specific or PCD detail is listed for this fitment, so confirm your exact variant before ordering. Front braking is handled separately, so add the matching front kit if you want a balanced upgrade at both ends.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
