Caliper render for this kit:

Hyundai’s first-generation I30 earned a following in UK club motorsport that its conservative styling never quite hinted at. In entry-level class racing, budget trackdays, and RWYB events, the FD platform’s combination of modest kerb weight, predictable FWD handling, and accessible running costs made it a credible tool. The area that consistently exposed its limits was the front brake setup: factory-spec discs sized for school runs and motorway commuting, pressed into heat cycles they were never designed to handle.
The XYZ Racing front brake kit replaces that standard setup with a big-brake specification matched to what the car is actually doing in enthusiast hands. Three pad compounds span quiet daily use, fast-road work, and racing-grade applications, alongside a choice of caliper colour, so the kit addresses both the functional gap and the visual brief.
What this brake kit does for your 2007-2011 Hyundai I30
Front-axle load is a structural fact on any FWD platform, and the first-generation I30 follows the formula without exception: under hard braking, the front wheels carry the bulk of deceleration while the rears contribute relatively little. A big-brake upgrade addresses the thermal consequence of that asymmetry directly. The enlarged rotor and upgraded caliper combination increases the system’s capacity to absorb and disperse heat, keeping pedal feel consistent across repeated heavy stops rather than allowing the progressive softening that marks OEM fade. Three pad compounds mean the 2007-2011 I30’s front-brake character can be matched to actual use: the Street compound stays quiet and low-dust for an I30 that still does weekday duties, the Sport compound adds bite and a wider heat range for regular fast-road driving, and the Racing compound carries committed track sessions where the factory specification gives up long before the driver does. Caliper colour is set when you order from Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, all included at no extra cost.
About the Hollow front big brake kit
This is the front big-brake platform designed to replace OEM front braking components with a higher-capacity specification. The kit ships with a selectable pad compound (Street, Sport or Racing) confirmed when you order, so braking character is calibrated to the application from day one without secondary sourcing. The caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, paired with two-piece floating discs and braided lines. As a big-brake kit, the rotor dimensions exceed the I30’s factory front specification, increasing both swept area and thermal mass, the two variables that directly govern fade resistance and recovery speed between braking zones. For serious track use the optional Hollow Racing caliper deletes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized finish in five colours or to titanium, and beyond the included caliper colours you can specify a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy finishes (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange) for builds where consistency across the car matters.
Fitment for the Hyundai I30 (2007-2011)
This kit is listed for the Hyundai I30 FD generation across its full production run from 2007 to 2011, position-specific to the front axle. If your I30 variant carries a non-standard factory disc diameter, verify against the detailed fitment data on this page before ordering, as the big-brake kit supersedes the OEM setup entirely rather than working around it.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
