Caliper render for this kit:

The AP2-generation S2000’s retuned suspension geometry addressed the snap oversteer that made the AP1 demanding, but the consequence is that you carry more speed into braking zones. The F22C’s free-revving 2.2-litre pulls hard to 8,000rpm in every gear, and that revised rear-end composure encourages later and deeper braking. Factory brakes cope well on the road; on circuit, that combination of pace and confidence exposes their limits quickly.
The XYZ Racing front brake kit for the Honda S2000 AP2 (2004-2009) upgrades the front axle with hardware that handles the thermal cycles the OE system was not designed to absorb. Three pad compounds mean the kit covers everything from occasional track days to sustained circuit use without swapping hardware.
What this brake kit does for your 2004-2009 Honda S2000 AP2
The AP2’s light kerbweight is part of what makes late-braking effective and rewarding on circuit, and part of what makes fade a more pressing concern than on heavier machinery, since you are genuinely using the brakes hard and repeatedly. The two-piece floating discs reduce rotating mass compared with a solid equivalent, keeping the AP2’s front suspension more responsive during the transition from braking to cornering. Three pad compounds let one kit serve a driver who commutes mid-week and runs sprint days at weekends without needing separate hardware for each role: Street is the quiet, low-dust road default, Sport adds bite and a broader heat range for harder driving, and Racing is the full track compound. Caliper colour is set when you order, with Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black included at no extra cost, integrating cleanly behind the AP2’s wheel selection without looking like an afterthought.
About the Hollow Brake Kit
The caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, and the two-piece floating discs remove material in a controlled pattern to reduce rotating weight while maintaining the effective braking surface area. That geometry also assists heat dissipation, a relevant consideration for a car that holds high revs and high speed longer than most naturally-aspirated roadsters before a hard stop is required. Braided lines keep the pedal firm. The kit is supplied as a front-axle fitment, specified directly against the AP2 chassis: bore spacing, hub register, and caliper bracket geometry are matched to the Honda S2000 platform rather than adapted from a shared catalogue number. Three compound grades from Street through to full Racing spec allow the operating temperature range to match the driver’s actual use, and for serious track work the optional Hollow Racing caliper deletes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized finish in five colours or to titanium, and beyond the included caliper colours you can specify a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy finishes (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange).
Fitment for the Honda S2000 AP2 (2004-2009)
This kit covers the Honda S2000 AP2 chassis across its full 2004-2009 production run. The AP2’s revised front suspension and brake layout relative to the AP1 make fitment chassis-generation specific; this kit is developed against the AP2 specification rather than carried over from the earlier car. Confirm your build year before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
