Caliper render for this kit:

The Odyssey Absolute’s J30A V6 makes genuine performance claims that the standard front braking package, calibrated for a large family MPV rather than a driven one, cannot reliably honour under load. Honda dropped the J30A V6 into a vehicle that weighs well over 1,600 kg and surrounded it with braking hardware pitched at the school-run middle.
For RA8 and RA9 owners who actually use the available performance on mountain roads, tow runs, or the occasional track morning, the XYZ Racing front big brake kit addresses that mismatch at the axle where it matters most. The front wheels carry the vast majority of deceleration load, and a bigger system there pays dividends immediately.
What this brake kit does for your 1999-2003 Honda ODYSSEY RA8/ RA9
The Odyssey’s front axle receives the bulk of weight transfer under hard braking, and on a V6 platform of this mass the factory setup runs out of thermal headroom before the road or track demands it to. A larger front rotor and caliper combination extends the fade threshold meaningfully. Three pad compounds let the owner match the system’s operating range to actual use: the Street compound stays quiet and low-dust for mixed-temperature daily running, the Sport compound adds bite and a broader heat range for fast-road work, and the Racing compound accepts a colder initial bite in exchange for sustained resistance to heat build-up across repeated hard stops. Caliper colour is set when you order, with Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black included at no extra cost, so the upgrade reads as deliberate from the wheelarch.
About the Hollow Front Big Brake Kit
This is a front-axle brake upgrade supplied across a range of Japanese and European fitment applications, including this RA8/RA9 Honda Odyssey. The caliper is a hollow-body forging as standard, and the kit arrives as a matched pair of calipers and two-piece floating discs for the left and right corners, fed by braided lines. On a heavier platform like the Odyssey, the distinction between the Sport and Racing compounds is a genuine engineering decision rather than a cosmetic one: sustained braking loads find the limits of a road compound faster than on a lighter car, so the compound grade you specify shapes how the system actually behaves under pressure. For serious track use the optional Hollow Racing caliper removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized finish in five colours or to titanium, and beyond the included caliper colours you can specify a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy finishes (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange).
Fitment for the Honda ODYSSEY RA8/ RA9 (1999-2003)
This kit is built specifically for the Honda Odyssey RA8 and RA9 platforms, covering production from 1999 to 2003. The RA8 designation covers the front-wheel-drive Absolute variant and the RA9 the all-wheel-drive; this kit fits both. Check your chassis plate code before ordering if you are unsure which suffix your car carries.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
