Caliper render for this kit:

The fifth-generation Odyssey RL5 carries the better part of two tonnes on a front-biased V6 platform, which leaves the rear axle doing quiet, thankless work until the day it doesn’t: a long alpine descent, a loaded boot, a trailer on the hitch. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit is built for exactly those moments, adding rear braking capacity to a heavy people-carrier that was never specced for repeated hard stops.
This is a pair of rear calipers and discs, left and right, for the 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey, pairing a two-piece floating disc with a caliper and a choice of pad compound. It is the part you fit when the standard rear setup starts to fade under heat and you want the back of the car to keep pulling its weight.
What this brake kit does for your 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey
On a vehicle this heavy, rear brake heat is the enemy, and the kit’s larger disc gives you more thermal mass to soak it up before fade sets in. You will notice it most where the standard Odyssey rear brakes struggle: holding speed down a long gradient, hauling a full eight-seat load, or working hard after a motorway slip road. The hollow-vane disc design trims rotating mass at the rear, so the back axle feels a little less inert and pedal response firms up under repeated use. Choose the Racing compound and the rear bites harder and recovers faster from heat; the Street pad keeps things quieter and dust-light for the school run, while Sport sits in between for harder road work. Braided lines hold the pedal firm under heat. The result is a brake balance that stays consistent rather than drifting forward as the rear discs cook.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
XYZ Racing’s rear brake kit is built around a two-piece floating disc, hollow-vane internally to shed weight without giving up the swept area a heavy minivan needs. The kit is a rear-axle package of disc, caliper and pads, built to fit the RL5 Odyssey in place of the factory rear brakes. Pads come in three compounds, Street for quiet, low-dust daily manners, Sport for a firmer everyday bite and wider heat range, and Racing for sustained high-temperature work, so you can match the rear to how the van is actually used. The caliper is hollow-body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for hard use that drops the dust cover, takes a 1000C rating and carries a two-year warranty. Calipers are offered in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone colour and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy (Teal, Blue, Red, Orange) finishes, which counts for more than it sounds on a car where the rear wheels sit in plain view. The whole kit is aimed at owners who load their Odyssey hard and want rear braking that holds its character rather than wilting on the third or fourth firm stop.
Fitment for the Honda Odyssey (2011-2017)
This kit is cut for the Honda Odyssey 3.5 RL5 (USA), the fifth-generation V6 minivan built from 2011 to 2017. It is a rear-position fitment, so it complements rather than replaces a front upgrade. Confirm your chassis is the RL5 USA-market car before ordering, as other Odyssey generations and markets use different rear hardware.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
