Caliper render for this kit:

The CR-V MK5’s electronic parking brake is the detail that makes a rear upgrade tricky, and it is exactly what this kit is built around. The EPB motor lives on the rear caliper, so a generic big brake setup simply will not bolt up; this XYZ Racing rear brake kit is machined for the MK5’s EPB hardware so the parking function still works as Honda intended. That matters on a crossover that tips past 1.5 tonnes before you add people and luggage.
For a heavy, nose-led family SUV, the rear axle does quieter but important work: holding the car stable under braking and soaking up heat on long descents and repeated stops. This Honda CR-V MK5 rear big brake kit is a pair of rear calipers and discs, left and right, giving that axle more thermal headroom and a firmer, more consistent pedal when the car is fully loaded.
What this brake kit does for your 2017-2022 Honda CR-V MK5
After fitting, the first thing you feel is a pedal that stays where you put it. The two-piece floating rotors, hollow-vane internally, carry less rotating mass and vent heat faster, so the rear end resists the fade that creeps in on motorway off-ramps or a loaded run down a long gradient. Pad compound choice lets you match the car to its job: the Street and Sport pads suit daily and towing duty, while the Racing compound holds its bite through harder, hotter use. Braided lines keep the pedal firm under heat. On a CR-V loaded close to two tonnes, that adds up to shorter, more repeatable stops and less heat working its way back into the fluid.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
XYZ Racing’s rear brake kit pairs a lightened, two-piece floating disc with hollow internal vanes and a caliper sized for the rear axle of a heavy crossover. The hollow-vane design strips rotating mass off the rotor and opens up cooling, which is precisely where rear brakes on a tall, weighty SUV tend to struggle. Three pad compounds are offered, Street, Sport and Racing, so the kit can be specced for commuting, towing or track-leaning fast-road use. The caliper is hollow-body as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for hard use that drops the dust cover, takes a 1000C rating and carries a two-year warranty. Calipers come in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone colour and premium polished-forged (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver) or candy (Teal, Blue, Red, Orange) finishes. Every part is cut to clear the MK5’s electronic parking brake rather than working around it.
Fitment for the Honda CR-V MK5 (2017-2022)
This kit fits the fifth-generation Honda CR-V built from 2017 to 2022 in EPB (electronic parking brake) specification. It is a rear-axle kit, so confirm your car carries the electronic handbrake before ordering, as this variant is machined specifically for that hardware.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
