Caliper render for this kit:

The ninth-generation Civic in FB guise was Honda engineering in a more measured key, the R18 and R20 units producing steady, usable power from a car that tilted noticeably toward comfort over the sharper FD it replaced. What that generation’s accountants specified in brake hardware matched the brief: adequate for normal driving, less convincing the moment you start asking the front axle to do real work. On a fast B-road or a club track session, the stock pedal begins to communicate its limits before the tyres do.
This XYZ Racing front big brake kit is the correction. It bolts to the FB Civic’s front uprights and replaces the factory calipers and discs with hardware designed to sustain repeated hard stops without the progressive softening that signals thermal overload in standard equipment.
What this brake kit does for your 2012-2015 Honda CIVIC FB (R18/R20)
Front-wheel-drive layouts concentrate the braking workload heavily on the front axle, more so in a Civic with a torsion-beam rear than in a more balanced platform. The FB’s front suspension manages both the steering and the lion’s share of the stopping at once, and on a car with any suspension modification already in place, the braking hardware becomes the limiting factor earlier than the factory engineers anticipated. The kit’s hollow-vane discs manage heat dissipation significantly better than the stock items, sustaining firm, consistent pedal feel through successive braking zones. Three pad compounds let you match the friction character to how the car is used. Street is the quiet, low-dust default; Sport adds bite and heat range; Racing shifts the operating window upward for track sessions. Discs are offered drilled or slotted at the same price.
About the front big brake kit
This is XYZ Racing’s front-axle upgrade for the FB Civic platform, a direct-fit replacement that closes the gap between factory specification and what a modified or track-used Civic genuinely needs at the front end. It ships as a matched pair of front calipers and discs. The hollow-vane disc manages heat through internal airflow, and the caliper is a hollow-body design as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade rated to 1000C, supplied without a dust cover and carrying a two-year warranty, for sustained track use.
Included caliper finishes are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black at no extra cost, so the visual side is covered for those who want the upgrade to read as clearly through the alloys as it feels under braking. A Custom Color in any Pantone is available for an added charge, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver and a candy range in Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange above the painted set. The three pad tiers are the more significant choice, governing bite temperature, modulation character, and cold behaviour on the first braking zone of the day. Street suits unmodified road use; Sport adds sharper initial bite; Racing shifts the temperature window upward for sustained heat. Centre bell upgrades are offered in five anodized two-tone colours or titanium, selectable at checkout.
Fitment for the Honda CIVIC FB (R18/R20) (2012-2015)
This kit is confirmed for the Honda Civic FB bodystyle fitted with the R18 or R20 engine, covering model years 2012 through to 2015, and ships as a matched pair of front calipers and discs. Both engine variants share the same front upright and hub specification the kit is built around. Verify your chassis designation against the FB before ordering if your car sits at the edge of that production window.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
