Caliper render for this kit:

The CL9 Accord carries most of its mass over the front axle, so the rear brakes spend much of their life as bystanders, until you start stopping hard and often. On a fast road run or a track session, the standard rear discs heat-soak and the pedal goes long, blunting the balance that lets the 2.4 i-VTEC saloon turn in cleanly. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit for the Honda Accord CL9 (2002-2008) puts real thermal capacity on the axle that usually gets ignored.
This is a rear-specific kit built to work with the car’s front-biased braking rather than fight it. With three pad compounds and a two-piece floating disc design, it gives the CL9 a rear end that stays composed through repeated stops instead of cooking two corners into a session.
What this brake kit does for your 2002-2008 Honda Accord CL9
Fit the kit and the first thing you notice is a firmer, more consistent pedal that does not sink as the rear discs come up to temperature. The hollow-vane rotors shed heat faster than the solid factory items, which keeps the rear axle contributing under trail braking instead of fading. Choose the Racing compound and the rear stays planted through back-to-back stops, Street keeps daily refinement with quiet, low-dust bite, and Sport bridges the two for fast-road work. Because the kit addresses the rear specifically, it sharpens overall brake balance: the CL9’s nose-heavy layout already loads the fronts, so a rear that recovers quickly stops the car squirming under heavy braking. The caliper finishes let the hardware match the wheels it sits behind.
About the Rear Brake Kit
The kit is supplied as a matched pair of two-piece floating discs and calipers for the back axle. The rotors are drilled or slotted at the same price and carry internal hollow vanes that lower unsprung weight at the rear and open up more surface area for heat to escape. Paired with XYZ Racing’s rear caliper, the assembly clamps harder and runs cooler than the OEM Accord rear setup. Three pad compounds are offered: Street for quiet, low-dust road use, Sport for fast-road bite, and Racing for sustained track temperatures, so the same hardware suits an everyday CL9 or one that sees regular lapping. The hollow-body caliper is standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Included painted finishes are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a custom Pantone colour at £150, plus premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver and candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. It is engineered as a bolt-on rear upgrade for the CL9 platform, keeping factory-style mounting while adding the thermal headroom the standard rear brakes lack.
Fitment for the Honda Accord CL9 (2002-2008)
This kit is specific to the rear axle of the Honda Accord CL9 across the full 2002 to 2008 production run, the 2.4-litre i-VTEC saloon sold in the UK as the Accord, and is supplied as a pair. Confirm your chassis code reads CL9 before ordering, as the rear hardware is matched to this platform and front kits are listed separately.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
