Caliper render for this kit:

The California’s folding metal hardtop stacks real mass over the rear axle, and that weight has to be hauled down every time you brake hard from a GT cruise or a quick B-road blast. The XYZ Racing Hollow rear big brake kit for the Ferrari California goes straight at that load, giving the back axle the thermal headroom the standard setup runs short of once the stops come thick and fast.
This is a rear-specific kit built for a 2+2 grand tourer that weighs the better part of 1,700 kg. Supplied as a matched pair of rear calipers and discs, it pairs uprated rotors with a choice of pad compound, so a California used for long continental runs or the occasional circuit day keeps a firm, repeatable pedal instead of settling into a soft, long-travel stop.
What this brake kit does for your 2008-2014 Ferrari California
Larger, better-cooled rear discs let the back axle take a bigger share of the braking effort rather than leaning everything on the fronts, which steadies the car under hard deceleration and tidies up turn-in. With three pad compounds you can match the kit to how the car is actually used: the Racing compound holds bite through repeated heavy stops on track, Sport suits harder fast-road work, and the Street option keeps cold performance and lower dust for road driving. The payoff is shorter, more consistent stopping distances and a pedal that stays where you put it as the rear discs come up to temperature. On a heavy folding-roof GT like the California, that rear thermal capacity is what keeps the whole car composed when you push it.
About the Hollow brake kit
XYZ Racing’s Hollow line is a big brake upgrade, and this version is configured specifically for the rear of the California rather than sold as a generic fit. It swaps the standard rear discs and calipers for larger two-piece floating discs and a hollow-body caliper that shed heat faster and resist the fade that creeps in once the brakes have been worked. The discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, fed by braided lines, and the caliper is hollow-body as standard; for sustained circuit use you can specify the optional Hollow Racing upgrade, which runs without a dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Three pad compounds are offered, Street for everyday driving, Sport for harder road use, and Racing for circuit sessions, so a single kit covers a daily-driven Ferrari and one that sees track time. Painted calipers come in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with any Pantone shade as a Custom Color for a small upcharge, plus premium polished-forged finishes (Titanium, Polished Gold, Polished Silver), candy finishes (Candy Teal, Candy Blue, Candy Red, Candy Orange), and two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours or titanium, letting you set the look behind the wheels to taste. The kit is sized to the California’s existing hubs and wheel package, so it goes on as an upgrade rather than a re-engineering job.
Fitment for the Ferrari California (2008-2014)
This kit is built for the Ferrari California across the 2008 to 2014 model years, the 4.3-litre V8 generation with the retractable hardtop. It is a rear-axle kit, so it can run on its own or alongside a matching front setup. Confirm your build year falls inside the 2008-2014 span before configuring, then choose the caliper finish and pad compound to suit how the car is driven.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
