Caliper render for this kit:

The X6 E71 carries more than two tonnes on a tall, all-wheel-drive body, and the rear axle does far more braking work than its coupe-like roofline suggests. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit targets the part of the system BMW’s first Sports Activity Coupe quietly overloads under repeated high-speed stops: the rear discs and pads that go soft once the mass and the heat stack up.
This is a rear-axle upgrade for fast-road and heavy-use X6 owners who already feel the standard setup wilting after a few hard applications. Supplied as a matched left-and-right pair and paired with a capable front, it restores front-to-rear balance and gives the back end the thermal headroom a 35i, 50i or M-spec E71 genuinely asks for.
What this brake kit does for your 2008-2014 Bmw X6 E71
The first thing you feel after fitting is consistency: the rear stays with you through repeat stops instead of fading and dumping the whole job onto the front. The hollow-vane disc design sheds heat faster, so a loaded X6, passengers, kit, or a trailer behind it, pulls up straight without the long, spongy pedal that creeps in on the original discs. The lighter two-piece discs also cut rotating and unsprung mass at the rear so the axle settles more cleanly. Pad compound is yours to spec: Street for quiet, low-dust daily refinement, Sport for a firmer fast-road bite, Racing when the E71 sees track time or sustained high-speed work. Keeping the rear thermally stable also stops the front from carrying all of the load, which is what protects the brake balance over a long, fast drive.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The kit centres on a two-piece floating rear disc with a hollow-vane braking ring, built to pull heat out of the friction face faster than a solid casting, the priority on a vehicle as heavy as the X6, while the floating bell lets the ring grow under heat without warping. It is supplied as a matched caliper and pad package rather than a generic off-the-shelf part, so the bite is sized to the rear axle’s actual share of the work. Three pad compounds run from Street road manners, through a firmer Sport bite, to a Racing compound for sustained heat. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade available for serious track use that removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Painted finishes come in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with premium polished-forged and candy options for owners chasing a specific scheme. Discs can be drilled or slotted at the same price, braided lines are included, and the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized colour or titanium. It bolts to the E71’s rear axle as a vehicle-specific kit, not a universal fitment forced to suit.
Fitment for the Bmw X6 E71 (2008-2014)
This kit is cut for the X6 E71 across the full 2008 to 2014 production run, fitting the rear axle on that chassis as a left-and-right pair. It is supplied with three pad-compound choices and a full range of caliper finishes. Confirm your exact build year and spec against the options above before configuring.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
