Caliper render for this kit:

The F15 X5’s kerb weight sits between 2,165kg at the lighter end of the range and nudges 2,360kg in xDrive50i specification, a figure that makes the front axle’s braking workload a meaningful engineering question rather than an afterthought. That mass, combined with the xDrive system’s front-weighted bias under hard braking, puts enormous thermal demand on the front discs during any sustained stop sequence. XYZ Racing’s Hollow front brake kit gives the F15’s nose the capacity to deal with it properly.
It is a single-axle kit, a matched pair of front calipers and two-piece floating front discs for the left and right corners. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, cover the realistic spread of how an X5 actually gets used. Street handles the day-to-day with enough in reserve for the odd spirited motorway run. Racing exists for the owners who have discovered, at a BMW club track day or an alpine descent with a fully laden car, that the factory setup runs out of confidence before they do.
What this brake kit does for your 2013-2018 Bmw X5 F15
Stopping 2.2 tonnes from speed loads the front axle disproportionately, brake balance pushes the load further forward the harder you stop, and the F15’s xDrive architecture does nothing to redistribute that physics. The Hollow front kit addresses heat accumulation directly: the hollow-vane disc routes air through the rotor body to manage the thermal cycles that build through repeated hard stops, and the two-piece floating construction lets it expand without distorting, which translates to more consistent pedal feel on a long downhill or at the end of a fast motorway overtake. Dropping rotating and unsprung mass at the front sharpens turn-in as well. The Sport compound adds bite and a wider heat range over Street for fast-road work, while Racing carries the system into circuit temperatures. Included painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone available, visible through the F15’s typically large-diameter alloys; whether that matters to the buyer comes down to how the rest of the car is presented.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The Hollow series applies an uprated front brake philosophy to platforms where factory specification was sized for normal operating envelopes rather than extended hard use. Front fitment across the F15 generation targets the axle bearing the greatest stopping load; the kit is configured to work across the range’s engine variants, from the 218bhp 25d to the 450bhp xDrive50i, rather than being calibrated for a single power output. The caliper body is hollow-cast as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing caliper, no dust cover, a 1000C rating and a two-year warranty, for serious track use. Three compounds give owners a genuine choice between road comfort, spirited road use and track deployment: not a marketing segmentation exercise but a practical response to how differently those use cases load a brake system. Included painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150 and premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver plus candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and centre bells can be two-tone anodized in five colours or titanium, allowing the hardware to sit coherently with a specific wheel and body combination.
Fitment for the Bmw X5 F15 (2013-2018)
This kit covers the BMW X5 F15 platform from its 2013 introduction through the end of the generation in 2018, ahead of the G05’s arrival. Buyers on M-Sport specification should confirm their existing front disc diameter before ordering, as the M-Sport brake package fitted larger factory discs at the point of build, which can affect caliper carrier dimensions. Confirm your variant’s front brake specification before purchase if there is any uncertainty.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
