Caliper render for this kit:

The E64 is the convertible 6 Series, and it carries the consequences of that choice: a folding soft-top body that surrenders the coupe’s structural rigidity while stacking extra mass high in the chassis. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit targets the rear axle of this heavy grand tourer, where a 1,900kg-plus cabriolet leans hard on its brakes every time you wash speed off a motorway cruise or a committed B-road.
On the M6 version the S85 V10 and its near-500bhp turn the E64 into a genuinely fast GT, and the rear brakes have to balance that pace rather than simply trail behind the fronts. This rear brake kit – a pair of left and right rear calipers and two-piece floating discs – is built to keep the back axle settled through repeated heavy stops, instead of going long and wooden the way tired factory discs do once heat builds in a heavy droptop.
What this rear brake kit does for your 2004-2010 BMW 6 Series E 64 (including M6)
The first thing you feel is a firmer, more predictable pedal that holds its bite as the rear discs heat-soak on a fast run, with the braided lines reinforcing that feel. Rear braking stability matters on a tail-heavy convertible like the E64, and a kit sized for the car’s mass keeps the back end planted under trail-braking rather than nervous. Three pad compounds let you set the car up for how you actually drive it: Street for relaxed road use, Sport for harder fast-road work and occasional track days, and Racing for sustained track sessions where rear temperatures climb and stay high. On the M6 in particular, that thermal headroom is the difference between consistent retardation and a rear axle that fades before the corner arrives.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The Hollow rear brake kit is XYZ Racing’s two-piece floating disc approach to upgrading the back axle on heavy performance cars. The friction ring on its alloy bell is aimed at shedding rotating and unsprung mass at the rear, which helps the suspension follow the road surface more faithfully and reduces the inertia the brakes have to manage, and discs can be specified drilled or slotted at the same price. The kit pairs the rear discs with XYZ Racing calipers – hollow-cast as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use that drops the dust cover for a 1000C rating and a two-year warranty – painted at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black so the setup matches the car behind the wheels. Beyond the included colours, you can specify Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, or candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange, with centre bells upgradeable to two-tone anodized in five colours or to titanium. Pad choice spans Street, Sport and Racing compounds, giving you a single hardware platform that can be tuned from a comfortable road bias to a hard-use track specification. It is engineered specifically as a rear-axle upgrade rather than a one-size answer, which is why fitment is tied to the chassis.
Fitment for the BMW 6 Series E 64 (including M6) (2004-2010)
This kit is specified for the BMW 6 Series E64 convertible, including the M6, across the 2004 to 2010 model years. It fits the rear axle only. Confirm your chassis code and build year against the listing before ordering, since the E64 designation covers the cabriolet specifically.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
