Caliper render for this kit:

The E34 530 is a substantial executive saloon: a kerb weight north of 1,400 kg, a straight-six or V8 up front, and standard ATE hardware designed around comfortable road cruising rather than repeated hard stops. For track days, Nürburgring Touristenfahrten runs, or simply working the front axle hard on a demanding B-road, that original setup runs out of composure before the driver does. The XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit replaces those limitations with a proper big-brake setup built around two-piece floating discs and upgraded front calipers sized for the thermal load the 530 can generate.
This is a single-axle front kit, a left and right pair of calipers on matched discs. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport, and Racing, mean the same kit covers a daily-driven 530i Touring and a stripped track-day saloon. Pick your application at the configurator above and the kit builds from there.
What this brake kit does for your 1988-1996 Bmw 5 SERIES E 34 530
The E34 platform concentrates the majority of its braking demand through the front axle, so upgrading the front end first gives the most measurable return. The larger two-piece floating discs improve thermal dissipation: the internal vane geometry accelerates airflow through the disc under rotation, keeping temperatures lower across repeated heavy stops, while the floating ring expands without coning and the lighter construction reduces unsprung and rotating mass. The result is more consistent pedal feel through a track session or an alpine descent, with less of the fade that catches owners of otherwise well-sorted E34s off guard once they push beyond the OEM hardware’s limits. Caliper finish choices, from the included no-cost painted colours through to premium polished and candy options, let the kit sit neatly behind E34 alloys without looking like an afterthought, though the engineering case for fitting it stands regardless of colour.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The hollow in this kit’s name refers to the hollow-bodied caliper, which is the standard baseline, and the vaned disc architecture, neither of which compromises structural integrity. The two-piece floating discs run cooler than solid-cast equivalents because the vane geometry creates a pumping action as the disc spins, drawing ambient air continuously through the friction surface. For the E34 530 specifically, that thermal headroom matters: the M60 V8’s 290 Nm of torque and the saloon’s body mass combine to put genuine heat into the front brakes on any road with sustained fast corners or repeated downhill stops. Pad compounds span Street for road use, Sport for spirited fast-road and occasional track work, and Racing for full circuit use, and all three grades fit the same caliper, so owners can switch compounds between uses without touching the hardware. For dedicated track duty the optional Hollow Racing caliper drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C, and carries a two-year warranty. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price, centre bells upgrade to two-tone anodized in five colours or to titanium at checkout, and the caliper finishes run from the included Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, and Anodized Black through a Custom Color in any Pantone, premium polished Titanium, Polished Gold, and Polished Silver, and candy Teal, Blue, Red, and Orange, letting buyers match the kit to whatever wheel and bodywork combination the car is running. The kit covers the front axle only.
Fitment for the Bmw 5 SERIES E 34 530 (1988-1996)
This big brake kit is confirmed for the BMW 5 Series E34 platform in 530 specification, covering the full production span from 1988 to 1996. That window takes in both the M30B30 straight-six 530i and the later M60B30 V8 variant, along with Saloon and Touring body styles. If your car carries non-standard factory front calipers from a previous modification, verify the mounting specification before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
