Caliper render for this kit:

The F30 320i carries its braking bias forward, but the rear axle does more work than most owners credit, especially under trail braking into a slow corner where the N20’s mass settles back and the standard single-piston floating caliper starts to feel its limits. The XYZ Racing rear brake kit for the BMW 3 Series F30 320i goes straight at that end of the car, swapping the soft factory rear setup for a pair of stiffer calipers and a pair of lighter, better-cooled two-piece floating discs.
This is a rear-specific upgrade for 2012-2018 cars, built either to balance a front big brake setup or simply to firm up a rear axle that turns vague after a handful of hard stops. The hollow-vane disc trims rotating and unsprung mass at the back, sharpening how quickly the rear responds to pedal input.
What this brake kit does for your 2012-2018 Bmw 3 Series F 30 320I (OE161)
Fit it and the first thing you notice is a firmer, more progressive rear pedal, with the bite point holding steady instead of going long as the original caliper heats up. The lightweight disc sheds heat faster, so repeated stops from speed stop cooking the rear pads into a glaze. Three pad compounds let you match the car to its use: Street for quiet, low-dust everyday driving, Sport for spirited fast-road work, and Racing for circuit days when rear brake temperatures climb hardest. Because the kit cuts mass at the rear axle, the 320i settles more predictably on turn-in and stays composed where the stock rear tends to wash out. Painted caliper finishes, from Red and Yellow through to Black, mean the upgrade reads behind the wheels as well as it works.
About the rear brake kit
The two-piece floating disc removes material from the rotor’s internal vane structure to lower rotating and unsprung mass without surrendering thermal capacity, and the friction ring floats on its alloy bell to stay flat under heat where a fixed solid rotor would distort. The disc face is available drilled or slotted at the same price. Paired with a fixed performance caliper, it firms up the pedal and resists the fade that floating single-piston rears suffer once worked hard. The kit is offered in three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, so the same hardware suits a daily-driven 320i or a car that sees regular track time. Caliper bodies are finished in painted Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with premium polished-forged, candy and Custom Pantone options to match your build, and the caliper is hollow-cast as standard with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use. It is a rear-axle kit, designed to complement a front big brake setup or to correct a factory balance that leaves the rear underworked, with construction that prioritises heat management and consistent clamping force over outright initial bite.
Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series F 30 320I (OE161) (2012-2018)
This kit is cut for the F30-chassis 320i, OE161 reference, covering build years 2012 to 2018. It is a rear-position fitment only. Confirm your exact chassis code and build year against the listing before configuring, as the F30 range shared brake hardware across several variants.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
