Caliper render for this kit:

The E46 330’s OEM 282mm front discs are adequate for everything a road car asks of them. Take the 3 Series onto a circuit and heat cycling begins in earnest: the M54’s strong top-end pull means sustained high speeds, the E46’s near-50:50 balance puts heavy load through the front axle under hard braking, and standard cast-iron rotors absorb and hold that heat rather than shed it. By mid-session, pedal travel grows and confidence in trail-braking softens.
The XYZ Racing front big brake kit addresses the OE282 specification directly. It is a single front-axle kit, a matched pair of calipers and two-piece floating discs, replacing the standard 282mm fronts with hollow-vane rotors designed to move heat through the disc body, in three pad compounds to match the application.
What this brake kit does for your 1998-2006 Bmw 3 Series E46 330
The hollow-vane disc manages the thermal cycling the OEM 282mm rotors were not calibrated for: hot air draws through the vents under load, rotor temperatures stay more consistent, and the pedal feel you had at the session’s start is closer to what you have midway through, which matters most when you are relying on front-axle bite to rotate a rear-wheel-drive chassis into a tight corner. The two-piece floating ring grows under heat without coning and trims rotating and unsprung mass, and braided lines firm the pedal further.
Pad compound matches the kit to the use case and is chosen when you order. Street keeps the 330 composed on the road and occasional driving events, with low dust and quiet running. Sport raises the thermal ceiling for fast-road and regular circuit sessions. Racing holds up through heat-soak conditions where a standard pad loses effectiveness long before the session ends. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and caliper finishes are included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, suiting anything from a stripped-out track car to a show-prep build.
About the Hollow Front Brake Kit
The two-piece floating disc is the engineering centrepiece. Where solid rotors store heat in the rotor body, the hollow-vane disc draws hot air through the disc body under sustained load, reducing operating temperatures and making thermal behaviour more predictable during hard use. The caliper runs a hollow body as standard, keeping reciprocating weight low; for dedicated circuit sessions a Hollow Racing upgrade drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Pad choice runs from Street through Sport to full Racing, three grades covering road driving, mixed road and track use, and dedicated circuit sessions respectively. The included painted caliper colours plus premium polished-forged and candy finishes, and two-tone or titanium centre bells, are selectable at checkout to suit the build brief.
Fitment for the Bmw 3 Series E46 330 (1998-2006)
This kit is matched to the E46 chassis 330 variant running the OE282 front brake specification, the 282mm rotor diameter fitted to 330i and 330Ci models from 1998 through 2006. The E46 M3 runs larger front rotors as standard and requires a different kit; confirm your original disc diameter before ordering if the car has been previously modified.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
