Caliper render for this kit:

The Q3 8U carries its mass high and well forward. On a raised crossover floorpan with a transverse drivetrain, the rear axle handles the lighter share of the stopping work, and the standard rear discs run short of thermal headroom under repeated hard braking. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit attacks that weak point with a larger two-piece floating rear rotor that rejects heat faster and holds a firmer pedal once the discs are properly up to temperature.
This is the rear half of a balance upgrade for the Audi Q3 8U, not a cosmetic one. The two-piece floating disc adds swept area and venting while shedding rotating and unsprung mass at the back axle, where a tall, near-1.5-tonne SUV feels every kilo of it.
What this brake kit does for your 2011-2018 Audi Q3 8U
After fitting, the first thing you notice is pedal consistency on a downhill run or a string of motorway stops, where the original rear setup tends to go soft. The larger rotor carries more heat away per stop, so the rear brakes stay closer to their working window rather than glazing the pads. Adding rear capacity also helps the Q3 8U settle under trail braking instead of leaning entirely on its nose-heavy front axle, which sharpens turn-in confidence on a loaded crossover. With Sport or Racing pad compounds, bite and fade resistance climb again for owners doing track days or towing duty, while the Street pad keeps things quiet and low-dust for daily running. The lighter disc trims rotating mass, which the rear suspension answers with marginally crisper recovery over mid-corner bumps.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The kit centres on a two-piece floating rear rotor with a hollowed core, a construction aimed at maximising heat dissipation and minimising weight rather than just looking the part. The disc can be specified drilled or slotted at no difference in price; either keeps the friction surface clean under load, while the hollow section reduces the thermal inertia that makes a solid disc slow to shed heat. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard to keep weight down, with an optional Hollow Racing build for sustained high-temperature sessions that removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty. Pad compound is your call: Street for quiet, low-dust road use, Sport for fast-road and light track work, and Racing for sustained high-temperature sessions. Included painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange, so the rear setup matches whatever is already behind the wheels. The whole package is built to work as a measured rear complement to a front upgrade, keeping front-to-rear brake bias sensible on a heavy compact SUV.
Fitment for the Audi Q3 8U (2011-2018)
This kit is specified for the first-generation Audi Q3 8U across the 2011 to 2018 production run, using the 12-point 6.8mm rear disc variant. Confirm your chassis is the 8U and check your current rear caliper and disc dimensions before ordering, as the rear specification must match your exact build.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
