Caliper render for this kit:

On a front-wheel-drive 8Y A3 Sportback, every hard braking event lands entirely on the front axle. No torque split, no rearward bias, just the front calipers absorbing all the kinetic energy. Push the car on a circuit or down a fast gradient and the standard setup reaches its thermal limits before the chassis does. The XYZ Racing front brake kit brings front braking capacity in line with what the 8Y’s MQB Evo platform can actually handle.
The 8Y moved the A3 onto a measurably stiffer structure than the 8V it replaced, encouraging higher corner-entry speeds and later braking points. That confidence is only sustainable when the front brakes can match it. Covering the 2020-2026 8Y Sportback in 2WD form, this kit is a front-axle pair: left and right front calipers with matched two-piece floating discs, and pad compounds spanning road use through to full circuit specification.
What this brake kit does for your 2020-2026 Audi A3 8Y Sportback (2WD)
Front-only braking in 2WD trim means heat builds faster than on a quattro equivalent, particularly during track sessions where successive hard stops pile thermal load onto the same discs. The kit works at both ends of the equation: sharper initial bite off the pedal and more consistent behaviour as temperatures rise across a session. The hollow-vane discs draw more air through the rotor to shed heat between stops, while the lighter two-piece design cuts rotating and unsprung mass at each front corner so the suspension stays settled under load. Braided lines keep the pedal firm where rubber hoses would swell.
The three pad compounds give genuine calibration: Street keeps daily driving quiet and predictable from cold, Sport bridges road and occasional circuit use with more bite and heat range, and Racing is built for the working temperatures of sustained track driving. Calipers are hollow-bodied as standard, with a Hollow Racing upgrade available for serious track use, rated to 1000C with no dust cover and a two-year warranty.
About the Front Brake Kit
This is XYZ Racing’s front-axle upgrade, and on the 2WD 8Y A3 Sportback it addresses a specific reality: without rear-axle torque, the front brakes carry all the deceleration load. The kit supplies matched disc and caliper components for this fitment, with three pad compounds spanning cold road use to sustained circuit work. Street covers public roads where cold-start bite matters; Sport covers the wider thermal swing of mixed road and track use; Racing is the track compound for progressive heat build. Discs come in drilled or slotted face at the same price, with optional two-tone centre bells in five anodized colours or titanium selectable at checkout.
Included caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost. Custom Color in any Pantone is £150, with premium polished-forged finishes in Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver and candy finishes in Teal, Blue, Red and Orange also available, so you can specify both the technical and visual detail in a single order.
Fitment for the Audi A3 8Y Sportback (2WD) (2020-2026)
This front brake kit is specified for the Audi A3 8Y Sportback in 2WD configuration, covering the 2020 to 2026 model run. The 8Y designation and explicit 2WD confirmation both matter here. The S3 8Y quattro runs different front hub and brake carrier specifications and is not covered by this listing. Verify the 2WD build of your specific car before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
