Caliper render for this kit:

The Alfa Romeo 155 Q4’s permanent four-wheel-drive turbo layout, with a drivetrain borrowed from the Lancia Delta Integrale, put real mass over a chassis that was never given brakes to match. The rear axle in particular does more work than most owners expect on a 4WD saloon under hard trail-braking, and the original equipment fades once you start leaning on it. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit for the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 4WD rebuilds that rear corner with two-piece floating discs and pads sized for repeated heavy stops.
This is a rear-axle kit, so it is about balance as much as outright stopping power. Each kit is a pair of left and right rear calipers with matching rear discs. Matched to the right pad compound, it gives a rear end that bites cleanly instead of locking or lagging behind the front. For a car now well past 30 years old, that is the difference between a 155 Q4 you lean on down a B-road and one you nurse.
What this brake kit does for your 1992-1997 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 4WD
On the road you notice it first as a firmer, more progressive rear pedal. The hollow-vane disc core sheds heat faster than a solid OE rotor and trims rotating mass at the rear axle, so the brakes recover between corners rather than stacking heat through a fast descent. Because the Q4 carries its 4WD hardware low and rearward, a rear axle that hauls down consistently keeps the whole car settled under braking instead of pitching onto its nose.
Pad compound matches the car to how you drive it. Street is the quiet, low-dust road default. Sport adds bite and heat range for spirited road work and the odd track day. Racing is the full track compound for sessions where the rear takes real punishment. Caliper finish comes in the included painted colours Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black, with any Pantone available as a Custom Color, so the upgrade reads as deliberate behind the wheels.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The Hollow Rear Brake Kit is built around two-piece floating discs with a hollow-vane core, a rotor designed to lose heat and weight where a conventional cast disc cannot. Less mass spinning at the rear axle means quicker thermal recovery and less unsprung weight for the rear suspension to manage. The kit is a rear-specific package: discs, pads and the hardware to mount them to the 155 Q4’s rear corners.
Disc face is drilled or slotted at the same price, and centre bell upgrades, two-tone anodizing in five colours or titanium, are selectable when you order. Pad choice runs across Street, Sport and Racing compounds, so the same disc can serve a daily-driven classic or a car booked in for track work. The caliper is hollow-body as standard, with premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver and candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange beyond the included colours. A Hollow Racing caliper, with no dust cover, a 1000C rating and a two-year warranty, is there for serious track use. It is a focused rear upgrade aimed at owners who want the back of the car to keep pace with whatever front setup they run.
Fitment for the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 4WD (1992-1997)
This kit is cut specifically for the Alfa Romeo 155 Q4 4WD built between 1992 and 1997 – the four-wheel-drive, turbocharged Q4 variant, not the front-drive Twin Spark or V6 cars. It fits the rear axle only. Confirm your car is a genuine Q4 before ordering, as its running gear differs from the rest of the 155 range.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
