XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD φ55 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) 2017-2026

The T-Roc was engineered for ground clearance and all-weather composure, not for holding an angle through a hairpin – that raised SUV-coupe stance and the extra roll it brings are exactly what work against a driver trying to get one sideways on purpose. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover is built specifically for the 4WD φ55 T-ROC and its multi-link rear axle, addressing the body movement that platform geometry creates under hard lateral load.

This is the spec built for competitive drifting, not fast-road comfort. Lower the ride height, shorten the bump stroke, and the T-ROC starts responding to throttle and steering input the way a drift car needs to, rather than the way a family crossover was tuned to.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD

Fitted to the multi-link rear end that only the 4WD φ55 T-ROC carries – lower-powered, torsion-beam T-ROCs don’t get this axle – the kit is built around keeping the body settled while the rear end is doing the opposite of settled. Reducing ride height brings the centre of gravity down and shortens the lever arm that body roll works through, which is the difference between the T-ROC leaning into a slide and staying flat through it. A shorter, controlled bump stroke gives the chassis less travel to wallow through mid-corner, so weight transfer during a high-speed transition happens faster and more predictably. The net effect on this car specifically is a crossover that can be held at an angle rather than one that simply loses composure at the limit.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range around one job: keeping the car’s body stable while it’s being driven well past the point most road-going suspension is designed for. The internal geometry is set up to manage the vehicle through sustained high-speed rotation, holding the body flatter through the turn so the driver can find and hold a clean angle rather than fighting for it. Ride height reduction is paired with a deliberately shortened, controlled bump stroke – the combination XYZ Racing points to as the mechanism that takes drift control from workable to genuinely precise. It’s a setup aimed at drivers already competing or training competitively, not one built to soften a daily commute.

Fitment for the Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD φ55 (2017-2026)

This kit is built for the Volkswagen T-ROC 4WD φ55 variant with the multi-link rear suspension, chassis code VO59, covering the 2017 to 2026 model years. It is matched to this specific rear-axle layout – confirm your T-ROC carries the 4WD φ55 multi-link rear before ordering, as FWD and torsion-beam-rear versions of the same model are a different fitment.
