XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Volkswagen TIGUAN 4WD φ55 2016-2026

The Tiguan 4WD’s tall body and Haldex-split all-wheel drive fight everything competitive drifting asks of a chassis: a low centre of gravity and a rear end willing to step out on command. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built to override that factory bias, giving a 2016-2026 Volkswagen TIGUAN 4WD φ55 the stance and body control a drift run needs.

Drop the ride height correctly and the bump stroke does the rest, holding the car settled through the transition so the driver can hold an angle rather than fight for one. Three external adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently for circuit work, tuning how the SUV’s extra mass transfers under initiation and counter-steer.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2026 Volkswagen TIGUAN 4WD φ55

Lowering the ride height on the Tiguan brings the roll centre down and cuts the body lean that a stock, road-biased SUV suspension carries into a drift entry. The 3-knob damping adjustment lets you firm up compression on the outside corner as the Haldex system shuffles torque forward, keeping the nose planted instead of pushing wide. Rebound control on the inside wheels helps the rear settle faster after a transition, so the car holds its angle through a sustained slide instead of chattering. Because the setup is tuned around circuit surfaces rather than potholed B-roads, the ride stays composed at the higher cornering loads a Tiguan sees once it’s set up to drift rather than commute.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is XYZ Racing’s dedicated drift-competition coilover, not a repurposed track kit. The valving is set to stabilise the car’s body through fast, high-angle direction changes so the driver can hold a clean line rather than correct for one, and the recommended ride-height drop is calculated against the bump stroke specifically so the car keeps that stability once it’s lowered. Damping is controlled through three external knobs, each metering oil through a deliberately small internal passage; at low speed over sharp bumps that passage can produce a faint noise, which is a by-product of the tight tolerances rather than a fault. XYZ Racing builds this valving around circuit-track surfaces, so the kit is tuned for repeated hard cornering rather than everyday road imperfections.

Fitment for the Volkswagen TIGUAN 4WD φ55 (2016-2026)

Confirmed for the Volkswagen TIGUAN 4WD, chassis code VO48-1, across the 2016 to 2026 model years, in the φ55 strut specification. This is the 4WD-specific kit, matched to the Tiguan’s Haldex-equipped drivetrain rather than the front-wheel-drive variant, so check your car’s drive layout against the code before ordering.

A Tiguan set up to drift is a different car to the one it left the factory as – pick your damping and spring spec below to build yours.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
