XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Volkswagen GOLF MK7 Φ55 (Rear Multi-Link Suspension) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2012-2020

The Mk7 Golf’s 55mm rear multi-link axle was engineered to run VW’s electronic Dynamic Chassis Control dampers, and taking that system out of the equation is exactly what this kit is built to do. XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover pairs with the cancellation kit so the rear control unit stops looking for a damper signal that no longer exists, leaving a fully mechanical, circuit-focused suspension set-up on both axles instead of a compromise between the two.

This is the Circuit Master line, aimed at sustained circuit lap-time work rather than a single fast run, so the Golf’s chassis balance gets addressed at the level a track day actually demands – repeatable compression and rebound control through consecutive laps, not just a lower stance for the car park.

What this coilover brings to your 2012-2020 Volkswagen GOLF MK7

Fit the Circuit Master and you’re working with 9720 individual damping combinations across the 3 external adjustment knobs, enough range to firm the front end for trail-braking into a tight corner one weekend and back it off for a rougher circuit surface the next. The rear multi-link geometry holds its intended camber and toe curves under load, so lateral grip through fast direction changes doesn’t fall away as the tyres come up to temperature. Ride height adjusts independently of damping, letting you correct the Golf’s factory rake without disturbing the compression and rebound settings you’ve already dialled for the car. On a Golf that spends most of its life on the road between track outings, that separation between height and damping adjustment matters more than a single quoted drop.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master sits within XYZ Racing’s competition range alongside their Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally dampers, and it’s the variant built specifically around sustained circuit use rather than a single stage or a drift line. XYZ’s own racing teams run this damper internationally, and the development focus was adjustment range: 9720 possible combinations from the 3 external knobs give enough of a window to retune for different tracks and different tyre compounds without swapping hardware. The trade-off of that fine control is a small-diameter oil passage inside each knob, which can produce a faint noise over sharp bumps or kerbs – that’s a by-product of the adjustment mechanism, not a fault, and it’s the same specification that’s seen repeated international circuit use. The layout is matched to this fitment’s Φ55 rear strut diameter, so the multi-link geometry keeps its correct pickup points once installed.

Fitment for the Volkswagen GOLF MK7 (2012-2020)

This Circuit Master kit is built for the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 fitted with the Φ55 rear multi-link suspension set-up, chassis code VO20-2-C, covering the 2012 to 2020 build range. It includes the cancellation kit needed to run manual coilovers alongside the factory electronic damping control system without triggering fault codes.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
