XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Skoda SUPERB B6 φ55 2008-2015

A B6-generation Superb is a long, nose-heavy saloon built to carry weight, not to launch hard off a start line – which is exactly the problem this kit is built to solve. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover is tuned around the first half-second of a run: the moment torque hits the tarmac and the car either hooks up or spins its wheels away.

Where a Top Sport or Super Sport coilover is set up to keep a car flat through direction changes, this Drag Racing set has a different job. It is built to move weight onto the driven axle the instant you launch, whether the Superb in front of you is running FWD or has been converted to send drive to all four corners, and to hold that weight there long enough for the tyre to bite.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2015 Skoda Superb B6

Off the line, the setup lets the front (or rear, on a converted car) of the Superb squat instantly as power comes on, loading the driven tyre’s contact patch harder and for longer than the standard suspension allows. That extra compression is what cuts down wheelspin in the first few metres of a run – the difference between a clean 0-400m pass and a smoky, wasted one. Because the geometry is set up specifically for launch loads rather than cornering loads, you get a much more predictable hit of traction every time you stage, rather than a car that lurches or wanders as the nose lifts. Higher up the speed range, the same setup keeps the big Superb’s body settled rather than floaty, which matters on a car this size and this long in the wheelbase once you are well past legal road speeds.

About the Drag Racing coilover

This coilover was designed specifically around 0-400m drag work, and it is built to suit FWD, RWD, and 4WD applications rather than one drivetrain layout – relevant on a Superb B6, which left the factory as a front-driven car but is regularly run with driven rear or all-four-corner conversions in this scene. The core idea is weight transfer: the setup is calibrated to shift the car’s front-to-rear balance onto the driven wheels the moment power is applied, rather than reacting to it after the fact. That shift forces the driven tyre into greater compression against the road surface, which is what cuts the idle time a tyre spends spinning before it finds grip. Less idle time off the line means a more stable, more repeatable launch, and the same underlying setup keeps the car composed once it is up to speed rather than letting the standard suspension’s road-biased damping start to work against you.

Fitment for the Skoda Superb B6 (2008-2015)

Built for the Skoda Superb B6, chassis code SK10, φ55 strut, covering the 2008 to 2015 production run. If your car falls inside that window and matches the SK10 chassis code, this kit is set up for your specific strut mounting and spring perch dimensions – always confirm your build year and chassis code against your V5C or chassis plate before ordering.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
