XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz E CLASS COUPE C207 6 CYL 2009-2017

The C207 E-Class Coupe brings genuine heft to a drift line – a long-wheelbase, rear-wheel-drive coupe with a six-cylinder engine sitting over the front axle, weight that has to be managed the instant the tail comes out. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover is built around that exact problem: controlling how the body rolls and how the nose loads before you’re committed to an angle.

This is a dedicated drift setup for the C207 six-cylinder coupe, not a fast-road compromise wearing a drift badge – the spring rates and damping are set up for holding a slide, not simply gripping through a corner. On a car this size, that distinction is what separates a clean transition from a snap.

What this coilover does for your 2009-2017 Mercedes Benz E CLASS COUPE C207 6 CYL

On the six-cylinder C207 coupe, the change you feel first is how predictably the body loads as you initiate a slide. Firming up compression damping stops the nose diving and loading the front tyres unevenly under countersteer, which keeps the angle you’re holding consistent instead of drifting off under its own weight transfer. Lowering the ride height drops the car’s centre of gravity and tightens the arc the rear end swings through, so transitions between opposite locks happen with less lag. Because ride height adjusts independently of damping, you can drop the C207 enough to sharpen its reactions without running out of usable bump stroke mid-slide – the same ride-height-to-stroke balance that determines whether the car holds an angle cleanly or just absorbs kerb strikes.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range specifically for competition drifting rather than as a dual-purpose street-and-track compromise. The core aim is body control at high yaw angles: keeping the chassis settled enough, at speed, that the car locks into a clean, repeatable angle instead of wallowing or snapping back through the corner. That comes down to managing ride height and bump stroke together – drop the car correctly and there’s still enough stroke left in the shock to soak up the transition without the suspension topping out or bottoming through the slide, which is what actually lets a driver hold an angle rather than fight the chassis for it. The damping and spring combination is tuned around that repeated load-unload cycle of drifting, not the single hard compression event of a track lap, which is the practical difference between a Drift Spec kit and a circuit-focused one.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz E CLASS COUPE C207 6 CYL (2009-2017)

This kit is built specifically for the C207-generation E-Class Coupe, covering the 2009 to 2017 model years across the six-cylinder engine range. It’s matched to the six-cylinder C207 rather than the four-cylinder cars, so confirm your engine variant before ordering – the spring rates account for the extra weight the six-cylinder cars carry over the front axle.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
