XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W205 8 CYL 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2015-2021

The W205 C-Class’s AMG Ride Control dampers are excellent for road use and a genuine obstacle the moment you want manual control over damping force for competitive drifting – the electronic control unit expects a live signal from the factory damper sensor, and without it the car throws fault codes and defaults to a safe mode. This XYZ Racing Drift Spec kit for the 8-cylinder 4WD C-Class solves that at the source: a cancellation loom is included alongside the coilover hardware, so the factory ECU stops hunting for a sensor that’s no longer there.

Drift Spec is the name for a reason. Where XYZ Racing’s road- and track-focused ranges chase compliance and lap time, this build is set up around controllability at extreme slip angles: predictable weight transfer under lock, a rear end that steps out on command rather than by surprise, and adjustment range aimed at holding a big angle rather than minimising body roll through a fast corner.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Mercedes Benz C Class

Lower the ride height correctly and work through the bump stroke as intended, and the difference on a W205 built for drift work is immediate. The nose-heavy V8 up front stops diving under trail braking into the entry, which matters on a car carrying this much weight over the front axle. Ride height reduction combined with the correct bump stroke setting keeps the body settled through the transition into oversteer, so the rear stays predictable as you feed in throttle and countersteer rather than snapping unpredictably. On the 4WD C-Class specifically, that stability under high-speed turning is what lets you hold an angle instead of fighting to recover one, and it’s the difference between a car that drifts and a car that’s merely sliding.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec range specifically around competition drifting rather than adapting a road or circuit design after the fact. The focus is on stabilising the car’s body through high-speed direction changes so the chassis holds a clean, consistent angle instead of wandering mid-slide – the kind of body control that separates a controlled drift from a car that’s just spinning its tyres. Getting there depends on setting ride height correctly and working through the available bump stroke properly rather than simply winding the car down as low as it will go; do that and the difference in how the car controls through a drift becomes obvious from the first pass. For this fitment, the kit is paired with a cancellation solution for the W205’s electronic damping system, since the AMG Ride Control setup fitted to the 4WD 8-cylinder cars won’t tolerate a passive coilover without it.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class (2015-2021)

This kit is built for the W205-generation Mercedes Benz C Class, chassis code ME07-9-C, covering the 8-cylinder 4WD cars produced from 2015 to 2021. It’s specified for cars originally fitted with electronic adaptive damping, which is why the cancellation kit for electronic damping is bundled in rather than sold separately.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
