XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W205 6 CYL 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2015-2021

The W205 C-Class’s 4WD six-cylinder cars were never built to slide, which is exactly what makes them interesting once you commit to doing it anyway. Factory 4Matic geometry and electronically damped struts are tuned for stability, not angle, so the first job on any drift-spec build is stripping that stability out in a controlled way. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover, paired with the cancellation kit for this car’s electronic damping, does that job properly rather than leaving warning lights and half-working sensors behind.

This is a purpose-specific setup: a coilover built around getting a heavy AWD chassis to rotate predictably, hold an angle, and recover without the ride height or geometry fighting you mid-slide.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Mercedes Benz C Class

Drop the ride height correctly with proper bump stroke, and the W205’s weight transfer becomes something you can read and use rather than fight. Lowering the centre of gravity on a 4WD six-cylinder car reduces the body roll that otherwise delays weight transfer to the outside front tyre during transition, which is the moment that decides whether a drift initiates cleanly or washes out. The cancellation kit removes the factory electronic damping control from the equation entirely, so the fixed-rate valving in the Drift Spec strut is what’s actually controlling the car, not a computer trying to correct for lateral slip. That matters on a chassis that was never given a drift-oriented damping map from the factory. Once the geometry and ride height are dialled to the car, transitions get more predictable and the car holds a line through a corner instead of snapping.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line specifically around competitive drifting rather than adapting a track-day coilover to the job. The valving and spring architecture are set up to stabilise the body during high-speed transitions, giving the driver a platform that holds a consistent angle rather than one that pitches and rolls through the slide. Lowering the ride height with the correct bump stroke is central to how the kit works – get that wrong and the rest of the tuning window narrows fast, get it right and body control through transition improves noticeably. The result is a chassis that responds the way a drift car needs to: predictable weight transfer, a body that stays settled at extreme slip angles, and control that holds up as the car moves through a full transition rather than falling apart halfway through. For the W205 platform specifically, this construction is what replaces the factory adaptive damping’s stability bias with something tuned for angle instead.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W205 (2015-2021)

This kit is built for the W205-generation C-Class, chassis code ME07-8-C, across 2015 to 2021, specifically the 6-cylinder 4WD variant. Because these cars left the factory with electronically controlled damping, this fitment includes the cancellation kit needed to run the Drift Spec struts without the factory system interfering. Confirm your car matches the 6-cylinder 4WD electronic-damping specification before ordering, as the non-adaptive and 4-cylinder variants use different hardware.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
