XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W205 8 CYL 2015-2021

The W205 C63/C63 S carries its M177/M178 twin-turbo V8 well forward of the front axle, and on the standard air-sprung or comfort-biased steel suspension that mass shows up as dive under braking into a chicane and a front end that’s slower to commit than the rear wants it to be. Circuit Master coilovers replace that setup with a monotube damper built around 9720 discrete adjustment combinations, so the front and rear can be tuned independently to work with the W205’s nose-heavy balance instead of against it.

For a car that’s doing sustained circuit lap-time work rather than the odd trackday, that adjustment range matters more than a single "sporty" setting ever could. You’re not just stiffening the car – you’re rebalancing where the C-Class carries its weight through direction changes.

What this coilover does for your 2015-2021 Mercedes Benz C Class

With the front end properly supported, the C63’s V8 stops loading the outside front tyre unevenly on turn-in, and the car rotates instead of understeering wide. Height adjustment independent of spring preload lets you drop the centre of gravity without resorting to shorter springs that kill travel, which keeps the rear axle planted under the power this engine puts down out of slow corners. The 3-knob damping control is split across compression and rebound, so mid-corner body control and initial bump absorption can be set separately – useful given how much unsprung mass a C-Class carries in each hub. Because the adjustment is this granular, you can run a setup stiff enough for sustained lapping without turning the ride into something you dread on the road section between sessions.

About the Circuit Master coilover

Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s dedicated circuit-driving damper, developed and tested with XYZ’s own racing teams across multiple international series rather than tuned purely on a road car. The core of the design is that 9720-way adjustment figure – a combination of damping and height settings reached through three external knobs, aimed at giving a team or a serious privateer a setup window wide enough to cover most circuits without swapping hardware. The knobs use a small-orifice oil-passage design; on rough sections or kerbs this can produce a faint noise from oil moving through the narrower channel, which is a characteristic of the design rather than a fault, and it’s not something the coilover was built to eliminate since its target environment is a track surface, not a broken British B-road. Construction is monotube, which keeps oil and gas separate under sustained heat cycling so damping force stays consistent lap after lap of a session rather than fading as the fluid warms.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W205 (2015-2021)

This kit is specified for the W205-generation C-Class fitted with the 8-cylinder engine, covering the 2015-2021 production run. Confirm your car sits within that year range and carries the V8 powertrain before ordering, as the W205’s 4 and 6-cylinder variants use different suspension geometry.
