XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204 6 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2007-2014

The W204 C-Class’s multi-link rear end was signed off for saloon comfort, and on the six-cylinder cars there’s enough weight over the nose to unsettle that rear axle the moment you load it hard into a corner. Factory dampers were never asked to control that mass at circuit speeds, and the standard rear shock mounting on this chassis needs the modified, fully integrated top mount before a serious coilover can even go in.

XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec coilover is built for exactly that scenario: full-height circuit driving and time-attack sessions where the car needs to hold a line lap after lap without the rear stepping out of shape under trail braking. On a W204 with the integrated rear mount already sorted, this kit gives you a chassis that turns in, loads and settles the way the six-cylinder engine’s weight distribution demands.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C Class

Fitted to a 2007-2014 C-Class six-cylinder car, this kit sharpens turn-in by cutting the body roll that the factory multi-link geometry allows, so the front axle bites earlier and the rear stays planted through the transition. Damping is adjustable across a wide range, which means you can firm up the front end to manage the nose-heavy weight bias under braking and still soften the rear enough to keep traction out of slow corners. Height is independently adjustable too, so you can drop the centre of gravity for track days without pushing the geometry into a setup that eats tyres on the road drive home. Because the rear shock mounting on this chassis has been modified to an integrated design, the rear damper sits more rigidly in the body, which translates directly into more consistent rear-end control lap after lap on a circuit rather than a soft, road-biased response.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s dedicated circuit-race damper, and the internal valving isn’t a guess – it’s derived from settings run in touring car competition, including WTCC entries, so the base tune already reflects what’s needed to control a heavy saloon at sustained circuit speed. For cars carrying more aggressive modifications, factory-built race entries or genuinely built A-class competition cars, XYZ Racing will produce a bespoke version of this damper rather than sell the standard spec: you supply the detail on what else has been changed on the car and which circuit it’s built for, and the valving and spring rate get built around that brief specifically. That custom-build option exists because a generic circuit damper stops being the right tool once a car’s weight, aero or drivetrain has moved a long way from standard, and XYZ Racing would rather match the hardware to the car than sell a compromise. On this W204 application the kit is built to work with the integrated rear mounting this chassis needs, so the geometry and shock travel are set up for that specific hardware rather than adapted from a bolt-in kit.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class (2007-2014)

This kit is built for the W204-generation Mercedes Benz C-Class, six-cylinder cars, across the 2007 to 2014 model years. It requires the modified, integrated rear shock mounting rather than the factory bolt-in top mount, so confirm your rear end has had this modification carried out, or is being carried out alongside fitment, before ordering.
