XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Lexus IS 200t/250/300/300h/350 (XE30) (Modified Rear Integrated) (Front EYE) 2013-2026

The XE30-generation Lexus IS was engineered around smooth Japanese and European tarmac, not the compression spikes of a rutted gravel stage. Take a 200t, 300h or 350 saloon into a forest special and the standard geometry runs out of travel long before the car runs out of grip, driving the axle into the bump stops and unsettling the whole platform mid-corner.

XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover rebuilds that from the strut mount down for exactly this use case. It swaps the factory-length damper for a long-stroke, long-spring inverted-tube unit designed to shrug off sandstone, snow-packed forestry and silt without transmitting every impact straight into the chassis – the difference between a car that survives a stage and one that’s still on the pace at the finish control.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 Lexus IS

Fit this kit to a 2013-2026 IS and the first thing you’ll notice is how much further the suspension can move before it runs out of ideas. The extended stroke soaks up the mid-corner compressions and sudden dips that a factory-length damper simply can’t absorb, keeping the tyre in contact with loose surfaces instead of skipping across them. The inverted-tube layout keeps the damper’s internals better shielded from the debris a gravel stage throws up, which matters over a full rally distance rather than a single clean lap. Because the spring rates on this kit were set through testing with a rally racing team rather than picked off a road-car chart, the compression and rebound balance is judged against real G-force loads through fast, bumpy turns rather than smooth-tarmac cornering. On the IS specifically, that longer-travel rear end also does more to control the platform’s weight transfer over crests and into compressions, where a saloon this size can otherwise unsettle badly on loose surfaces.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing built the Gravel Rally range specifically for rally and rallycross use, where the road surface moves under the car in a way no tarmac application does. The inverted-tube damper design was chosen so the assembly can cope with sand, snow and silt without the seals and internals suffering the way a conventional strut would under sustained abrasive conditions. Stroke length and spring length are both extended well beyond a road- or track-biased coilover, giving the damper the travel it needs to absorb chassis vibration and repeated high-speed impacts from broken surfaces rather than bottoming out. That extra travel is also what lets the kit carry the extreme cornering loads a rally car generates without the spring or damper running out of usable range mid-stage. Every spring rate offered in this range has been set through testing with a rally racing team, so the rates reflect what’s actually needed to survive a stage rather than a theoretical calculation.

Fitment for the Lexus IS (2013-2026)

This kit is built for the XE30-chassis Lexus IS across the 200t, 250, 300, 300h and 350 variants from 2013 to 2026, specified for the modified Rr Integrated rear end and Frt EYE front mounting configuration. Confirm your car matches this rear-integrated, front-eye mount spec before ordering, as the XE30 range spans several driveline and suspension configurations across its production run.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
