XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Infiniti Q45 (F50) CIMA welding 2001-2008

The F50 Q45’s biggest obstacle on a drift line isn’t power – the VK45DE V8 has torque to spare – it’s mass. This is a full-size RWD saloon, and a heavy body that rolls and pitches unchecked turns every initiation into a guessing game. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover exists to take that variable out of the equation.

Fitted to a 2001-2008 Infiniti Q45 (F50), the kit lowers ride height and firms up spring and damping rates specifically to hold the car’s attitude through initiation, transition and the long, sustained angle a drift line demands, rather than letting a big saloon’s body motion fight the driver’s steering input.

What this coilover does for your 2001-2008 Infiniti Q45

Stabilising the body under high-speed direction changes is the whole point of this build, and on a car the size of the F50 that stability is what turns big lock into a controllable, repeatable angle instead of a fight to catch the slide. Lowering the ride height shifts the centre of gravity down and tightens the car’s roll response, while the coilover’s bump stroke is set up so the suspension still has somewhere to go once the ride height comes down – critical on a car this heavy, where a stroke that’s too short will bottom out mid-transition. The net effect on your Q45 is a chassis that holds its line under load and comes back into the next transition on your terms, not the suspension’s.

About the Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built around one job: keeping a car’s body settled while it’s being driven sideways at speed. The valving and spring rate are tuned to resist the body roll and weight transfer that make it hard to hold an angle, so the car reacts predictably when you countersteer rather than lurching and needing correction. Ride height reduction is paired with a bump stroke calculated to suit that lower stance, so the suspension retains usable travel instead of running out of stroke the moment load comes on mid-corner. It’s a setup built around control of the car’s attitude first, straight-line ride comfort a distant second – the priorities of a car built to be driven on opposite lock, not to a shopping centre.

Fitment for the Infiniti Q45 (F50) CIMA WELDING (2001-2008)

This kit is specced for the F50-chassis Infiniti Q45, sold in Japan as the Cima, across the 2001 to 2008 model years. Confirm your car matches the F50 chassis code before ordering, as earlier and later Q45 generations use different suspension geometry and are not covered by this fitment.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
