XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA 4WD (Modified Rear Integrated) 2006-2010

The Y50-generation Infiniti M35/M45 – sold in Japan as the Fuga – is unusual among Nissan’s FM-platform saloons in that part of the range runs ATTESA E-TS four-wheel drive, packaging extra driveline hardware around the rear subframe that a rear-drive-only coilover simply won’t clear. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec kit for this 4WD Fuga uses a modified rear integrated mount built specifically around that hardware, not a generic rear top-hat borrowed from the RWD car.

Drift Spec is XYZ’s setup for competitive drifting rather than circuit lap times, and on a heavy, V6/V8-engined saloon like the M35/M45 that distinction matters. The kit is built to take the Fuga’s ride height down aggressively while keeping enough usable bump stroke to hold a controlled angle mid-slide, not just to lower the car for looks.

What this coilover does for your 2006-2010 Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA 4WD (Modified Rr Integrated)

Drop the ride height on a 4WD Fuga and you change how the car loads through a transition immediately – a lower centre of gravity on a car this heavy means the body moves less as the rear steps out, which is what lets a driver hold an angle instead of constantly correcting for it. Full damping and ride-height adjustment let you set the front end firm enough to resist dive through the throttle-brake transitions drifting demands, while keeping the rear compliant enough to stay hooked up and predictable as the ATTESA system feeds torque through all four corners mid-drift.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ’s Drift Spec range is built around one job: give a drift car predictable body control at the angles and speeds competitive drifting actually happens at. The design targets stabilising the body through fast, high-speed direction changes, so the car settles into a clean angle instead of wallowing or snapping as weight transfers. Bump stroke is tuned specifically around a lowered ride height – getting the drop and the stroke matched is what XYZ’s own engineering points to as the thing that actually improves how controllable a car is mid-drift, rather than the ride height figure on its own. It’s built for drivers already running a lowered car hard, not a one-size-fits-all street setup.

Fitment for the Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA 4WD (Modified Rr Integrated) (2006-2010)

This kit is built for the Y50-chassis (IN09) Infiniti M35 and M45, sold in Japan as the Fuga, across the 2006-2010 4WD range. The rear mount is the modified-integrated design specific to the ATTESA E-TS driveline – confirm your Fuga is the 4WD variant before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
