XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA 2WD (Modified Rear Integrated) 2004-2009

The Y50 Fuga’s size works against it and for it in equal measure: a long wheelbase and a nose-heavy V6 or V8 mean weight transfer builds slowly, but once the M35 or M45 breaks traction it holds an angle with a stability smaller cars can’t match. XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover is built around that specific trait, giving the rear end a controlled, adjustable base to work from instead of fighting the standard suspension’s road-biased compliance.

This kit is aimed squarely at drivers running the M35 or M45 in competitive or practice drifting, where a consistent lock angle and a stable rear under sustained yaw matter more than outright grip. Ride height drops to a genuine drift stance, and the rear geometry is reworked through the modified Rr Integrated design to keep the back axle predictable as the car transitions from initiation to hold.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2009 Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA

Drop the ride height correctly and the Fuga’s centre of gravity comes down through a chassis that was never built with drift in mind, cutting the body roll a factory-spec big saloon carries into a slide. The rear’s modified, integrated shock and spring setup gives the axle a firmer, more direct connection to the chassis, so the back end responds to throttle and steering input rather than lagging behind it. Set the bump stroke correctly during install and the transition from grip to slide becomes something you can call rather than something that happens to you. On a car this size, controlling that transition point is the difference between a clean entry and a snap you’re left catching. Damping adjustment lets you firm the rear for consistent angle-holding at speed, or soften it for smoother initiation on tighter, technical layouts.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing built the Drift Spec line specifically for competition and practice drifting rather than adapting a road or circuit coilover for the job. The core aim is body control through sustained high-speed rotation: keeping the chassis flat and predictable while the car holds a large slip angle, so the driver can hit and maintain a line rather than correct for chassis movement mid-slide. Ride height drops meaningfully from standard, and getting the bump stroke set correctly during installation is what unlocks the kit’s actual purpose – without it, the geometry gains on offer stay on the table. The result, set up properly, is a rear end that stays settled through a slide instead of stepping out unpredictably, which is what separates a kit built for drifting from a stiffened road coilover pressed into service for it.

Fitment for the Infiniti M35 / M45 Y50 FUGA (2004-2009)

This kit is built for the Y50-generation Infiniti M35 and M45 (chassis code IN08) sold from 2004 to 2009, covering the 2WD Fuga platform with the modified rear integrated shock and spring configuration. Confirm your car matches the 2WD, non-AWD Y50 layout before ordering, as the rear geometry changes are specific to this configuration.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
