XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Hyundai GENESIS COUPE BK 2.0T (Modified Rear Integrated) 2008-2010

The Genesis Coupe BK’s 2.0T is a nose-heavy, boosted four coming off the line onto a chassis that was never designed with a prepped strip in mind. Left on stock suspension geometry, that weight transfer happens in an uncontrolled rush – the front dips, the rear goes light, and the tyre spends its first few tenths of a second squirming instead of hooking up.

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover for the BK addresses that directly. It is built around a single job: control how weight moves across the car in the half-second after the light goes green, so the rear tyre gets loaded rather than left to spin.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Off the line, the kit lets you bias ride height and damping so the rear end squats and stays planted through the launch instead of unloading. That’s the core of what a drag-specific setup does that a road or track coilover doesn’t attempt: it deliberately manages front-to-rear weight transfer for a straight-line launch, rather than balancing it for cornering grip. On the 2.0T, which already sends its power through a comparatively light nose, getting that transfer right is the difference between a clean 60-foot time and a wheel that’s still catching up to the throttle. Ride height adjustment lets you set launch stance independently of your daily setup, and the damping response is tuned to resist the initial shock of hard acceleration rather than the mid-corner loads a Genesis Coupe on track would see.

About the Drag Racing coilover

This is a purpose-configured version of XYZ Racing’s coilover platform, built specifically for 0-400m runs across FWD, RWD and 4WD applications – which covers the RWD-layout Genesis Coupe directly. The valving and geometry are set up to let the car redistribute weight toward the driven wheels the instant power goes down, rather than resisting that transfer the way a fast-road setup would. By encouraging the rear tyre into greater compression at launch, the kit cuts down on wheel idle time – the gap between throttle application and the tyre actually gripping – which is where a lot of 60-foot time gets lost on a boosted, front-engine RWD platform like the BK. The result is a car that settles into its launch stance faster and holds it more predictably as speed builds, rather than hunting for grip through the first gear change.

Fitment for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe (2008-2010)

Built for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK, 2.0T engine, in the modified rear-integrated configuration, covering the 2008 to 2010 model years. Confirm your Genesis Coupe matches the BK chassis code and 2.0T drivetrain before ordering, as suspension mounting differs across Genesis Coupe engine variants.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
