XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW Z3 4 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 1995-2003

The Z3’s short wheelbase and rear-wheel-drive layout make it one of the more forgiving low-power drift platforms around, and the four-cylinder cars carry noticeably less weight over the nose than their six-cylinder siblings, which changes how the back end lets go into a turn. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec kit is built around that trait: it drops the ride height and firms up the platform so the rear steps out predictably rather than snapping loose, giving a driver in a Modified Rr Integrated Z3 the angle control competitive drift work actually demands.

This is not a fast-road compromise kit. It is built for circuit and drift-day use, where repeat runs at high slip angle put more strain on damping consistency than any road car ever will.

What this coilover does for your 1995-2003 BMW Z3 4 CYL (Modified Rr Integrated)

Lowering the Z3 on this kit with a properly set bump stroke is what actually delivers the drift control XYZ Racing designed the Pro Racing Drift Spec range for – get the ride height and stroke length right and the car holds its angle through a slide instead of wandering mid-corner. The three external adjustment knobs let you tune compression and rebound independently front and rear, so you can trim the car’s rotation without upsetting rear-axle stability during transition. Because the coilover uses a small-oil-hole design at each knob, you may hear a faint tick working through kerbs or track bumps – that’s oil passing through the restricted circuit, not a fault, and it doesn’t affect how the car holds a line.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Pro Racing Drift Spec line specifically for drift competition rather than adapting a fast-road kit for the job. The focus is body control at high steering angle and high speed – stabilising the chassis mid-slide so the driver can hold a clean, repeatable line instead of correcting constantly. Each corner runs three external adjustment knobs feeding a small-oil-hole damper circuit, which trades a little outright plushness for a more direct, predictable response as load shifts during a drift. XYZ Racing built the range around circuit-track use, so the usual road-car concerns about ride quality over broken surfaces don’t really apply here – occasional noise through the damper on rough tarmac is a known characteristic of the design, not a sign of wear. The result is a kit tuned for holding an angle under power, not for comfort.

Fitment for the BMW Z3 4 CYL (Modified Rr Integrated) (1995-2003)

This kit is specced for the BMW Z3 4 CYL, chassis code BM70-1, covering 1995 to 2003 production, with the modified rear-integrated setup this listing is built around. Confirm your Z3 runs the four-cylinder engine and the same rear-axle configuration before ordering, since coilover length and mounting differ from the six-cylinder cars.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
