XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E92 M3 (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E92 M3’s factory EDC electronic dampers are wired straight into the car’s ECU, so pulling them for a manual coilover set-up usually leaves you with warning lights on the dash and the car dropping into limp mode. This Racing Spec kit is built specifically around that problem: it includes a cancellation circuit for the electronic damping system, so the S65 V8 and its chassis electronics carry on as normal while the dampers themselves are run fully mechanically.

Racing Spec sits at the top of the range for a reason – it’s aimed at owners doing serious track days and time-attack sessions, not fast-road blasts. Where a road-biased XYZ kit is tuned to soak up B-road imperfections, this one is set up around holding a consistent line once tyres, brakes and the S65’s high-revving power delivery are all working near their limits.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E92 M3

The E92 M3 carries its weight low and close to even front-to-rear, but under hard trail-braking into a corner the nose still loads up and the rear axle needs to stay planted to put the S65’s power down cleanly out the other side. This kit’s damping range is built to control that front-end load transfer without ballooning the rear under power, so the car stays flatter through direction changes and the back end doesn’t step out of line as the throttle goes back down. Ride height and corner-weighting are independently adjustable, which matters on this chassis because getting the M3 level and balanced side-to-side has a direct effect on how predictably it rotates on turn-in. The cancellation kit means none of this comes at the cost of factory driver-assistance systems reading fault codes off a disconnected damper.

About the Racing Spec coilover

XYZ’s Racing Spec line is developed off the back of direct involvement in circuit racing, including series like the WTCC, rather than being tuned purely on a bench. That racing background is where the damping curves and adjustment ranges on this kit come from – settings built to survive repeated heat cycles and hard braking zones rather than a single fast lap. For cars carrying more serious modifications – bigger brakes, aero, engine work pushing well past standard – XYZ can also build a bespoke damper to order: send over what’s been changed on the car and which circuit it’s run at, and the shock internals get specified around that specific set-up rather than a generic track preset. It’s a tier built for owners who already know their car is heading toward genuine competition use, not just a stiffer ride on the way to work.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series E92 M3 (2007-2011)

This kit is built for the E92 M3, chassis code BM90-C, across the 2007 to 2011 production run, in the modified rear-integrated configuration that matches the car’s multi-link rear end. It’s specifically the electronic-damping-cancellation variant, for M3s that left the factory with EDC fitted rather than passive dampers.
