XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Lexus ES (XV60) (80mm center-to-center) 2012-2018

The XV60-generation ES rides on a soft, nose-heavy front-wheel-drive platform tuned for isolation rather than control, and that stock damping runs out of ideas fast the moment the surface stops being smooth tarmac. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover swaps that setup for a long-travel, high-oil-volume damper built to keep the chassis settled when the road turns to gravel, snow or a badly maintained rally stage.

Where the Pro Racing range’s tarmac-biased kits chase minimum ride height and maximum lateral grip, this Gravel/Snow spec does the opposite: it prioritises suspension travel and thermal headroom over lowest-possible stance, because a big FWD saloon crossing loose or frozen surfaces needs wheel articulation more than it needs a slammed look.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2018 Lexus ES (XV60)

On a 2012-2018 Lexus ES (XV60), that translates into a car that stays composed when it hits a rut or a frost heave instead of crashing through on its bump stops. The extended front and rear travel gives the nose-heavy chassis more room to move before the damper runs out of shaft, which matters on an ES because so much of the car’s mass sits over the front axle under braking and turn-in. A larger reservoir of suspension oil and nitrogen gas keeps the damping curve consistent even after sustained hard use, rather than fading as oil temperature climbs, which is useful if you’re covering stage mileage rather than a single spirited drive. Three external adjustment knobs let you set compression and rebound independently front and rear, so you can soften the ride for a snow-covered B-road one weekend and firm it up for a gravel test the next.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing built the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow line specifically for rally and rallycross use, where a coilover has to survive repeated hard compressions on unpredictable surfaces rather than smooth apex kerbs. Both the front and rear dampers get extra shaft travel so the suspension has a bigger buffer before it bottoms out over a compression or a snow-packed rut. XYZ increases the internal suspension oil and nitrogen gas volume over their tarmac kits, which keeps the shock oil running cooler and the damping force stable through a long stage rather than fading as the oil heats up. Each corner gets three external adjustment knobs feeding a small-diameter oil passage, and on the roughest hits you may notice a faint noise as oil moves through that passage, which is a normal characteristic of the design rather than a fault. The kit is engineered to shrug off exactly the kind of repeated big impacts that a loose-surface stage throws at it.

Fitment for the Lexus ES (XV60) (2012-2018)

This kit is a direct fit for the XV60-generation Lexus ES built between 2012 and 2018, specified to the 80mm damper center-to-center mounting used on this chassis. Confirm your ES falls within that production window before ordering, since mounting geometry can change across a model’s run.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
