Caliper render for this kit:

The G50 Century is a near-two-tonne V12 limousine built to glide rather than to stop hard, and its factory rear brakes were tuned for the same hushed, chauffeur-led calm as the rest of the car. Add the mass of that 5.0-litre 1GZ-FE up front, a long motorway descent and a 25-year-old comfort-biased setup, and the standard rear brakes start to feel their age. This XYZ Racing rear big brake kit for the Toyota Century (GZ G50) gives the rear axle the thermal headroom and bite a heavy rear-drive flagship needs in 2026.
It is a rear-axle upgrade aimed at owners keeping these rare V12 saloons usable rather than parked: better repeat-stop consistency, a firmer pedal, and pad options to suit how the car is actually driven. The kit is supplied as a matched pair of rear calipers and two-piece floating discs.
What this big brake kit does for your 1997-2016 Toyota Century (GZ G50)
Fit it and the first thing you notice is a rear end that settles under braking instead of running out of bite on the second or third hard stop. The larger rotor and uprated caliper add heat capacity, which matters on a car this heavy when you are hauling its V12 mass down from speed. Three pad compounds let you match the rear axle to a quiet daily limousine with the Street pad, a faster road car with the Sport pad, or harder use with the Racing compound, without touching the rest of the system. The two-piece floating disc also drops unsprung mass so the dampers stay composed. The payoff is more confident brake balance and a pedal that stays firm rather than going soft as the kilometres pile up.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The "Hollow" name points to a hollow-vane rotor design that sheds rotating and unsprung mass while keeping the swept area needed to soak up heat. The kit pairs that two-piece floating disc with a fixed multi-piston caliper, braided lines and the mounting hardware specific to the Century’s rear hubs. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty for harder use.
Caliper finishes run to Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone, premium polished-forged finishes in titanium, polished gold or polished silver, and candy finishes in teal, blue, red or orange, so the hardware can stay discreet behind the Century’s factory wheels or stand out on a modernised build. Compound choice is the real tuning lever: Street for stock-feel road use, Sport for a sharper everyday bite, and Racing for sustained heat. Discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, and the centre bell can be upgraded to two-tone anodized in five colours or titanium. Everything is sized around the rear position, so it complements the front axle rather than overwhelming it.
Fitment for the Toyota Century (GZ G50) (1997-2016)
This kit is built for the second-generation G50 Century, covering the full 1997 to 2016 production run of the V12 car, and is supplied as a matched left-and-right pair. It mounts to the rear axle using Century-specific brackets, so confirm your chassis is the G50 before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
