Caliper render for this kit:

The non-Performance Model Y leans hard on regenerative braking, which means its rear friction brakes spend most of their life barely turning a wheel, long enough for the discs to surface-rust and the pads to glaze over. Push the car on a fast B-road or a track session and that picture flips in seconds: as the battery fills toward a high state of charge, or sits cold, the regen window shrinks and the friction brakes suddenly inherit a two-tonne EV with no run-up. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit gives the rear axle of your 2025-2026 Tesla Model Y the thermal headroom and consistent bite to cope for the moments the motors stop helping.
Built around a hollow-vane rotor that sheds rotating and unsprung weight, the kit pairs an upgraded caliper with a choice of pad compound so the rear-axle character matches how you actually drive the car. It is a rear-specific kit, supplied as a matched pair of calipers and two-piece floating discs, sized for the standard Model Y rather than the Performance car’s larger hardware.
What this brake kit does for your 2025-2026 Tesla Model Y (NON Performance)
The bigger swept area and vented hollow-vane rotor give the rear end far more capacity to absorb heat, so the pedal stays firm through repeat stops instead of going long once the regen tapers off. The two-piece floating discs run a lighter alloy bell, dropping unsprung mass at the rear corners and sharpening how the car settles over mid-corner bumps while lightening the load the dampers manage. The three pad compounds let you bias the rear toward quiet daily running with the Street pad, fast-road bite with the Sport pad, or a Racing friction level that survives sustained abuse. For owners fed up with corroded factory rear discs that never get worked hard, swapping to a kit that is actually used restores proper, predictable rear braking.
About the Hollow Rear Brake Kit
The defining feature is the hollow-vane disc, which removes material from the rotor centre to cut weight without giving up the cooling vanes that move heat out under load. A rigid replacement caliper clamps a larger friction surface than the standard Model Y rear setup, raising both outright capacity and resistance to fade. The caliper is hollow-bodied as standard, with an optional Hollow Racing upgrade that drops the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty for serious track use.
The compound choice spans a road-friendly Street pad, a more aggressive Sport pad for fast-road and occasional track work, and a full Racing compound for the circuit. Caliper finishes start with Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Custom Color in any Pantone, premium polished-forged finishes in titanium, polished gold or polished silver, and candy finishes in teal, blue, red or orange. Discs are drilled or slotted at the same price, and the centre bell can be specified as two-tone anodized in five colours or titanium, so the kit can sit discreetly or read as intent behind the wheels.
Fitment for the Tesla Model Y (NON Performance) (2025-2026)
This is a rear-axle kit for the 2025-2026 Tesla Model Y in non-Performance specification, supplied as a matched left-and-right pair. It is matched to the standard car’s rear hardware, not the Performance variant. Confirm your model year and trim against the listing before ordering.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
