Caliper render for this kit:

The Panamera 970 hides its mass well, right up until you ask it to stop. Porsche’s first four-door GT carries close to two tonnes in its heavier trims, and that weight lands squarely on the brakes every time you haul it down from a derestricted autobahn or the end of a long, fast straight. The XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit is built to take that load at the back axle without the fade and long-travel pedal that creep in once the factory steel discs begin to heat-soak.
This is rear-specific hardware, fitted as a matched pair, for owners running their 970 harder than the daily commute: fast-road driving, the occasional track session, or simply a heavy GT that needs honest, repeatable stopping power on demand. The two-piece floating disc trims rotating mass at the rear hubs, and a choice of three pad compounds lets you match bite and operating temperature to how you actually drive the car.
What this brake kit does for your 2010-2016 Porsche Panamera 970
On a car this heavy, rear braking is about composure as much as outright distance: a rear axle that stays settled under hard braking keeps the nose from diving and the tail from stepping out of line. The two-piece floating rotors shed heat faster and carry less rotational mass, so the pedal stays firm through a sequence of hard stops instead of going soft after the first few. The Street pad keeps quiet, low-dust manners for road use; the Sport and Racing compounds add bite and fade resistance as your pace climbs. The net result is a Panamera 970 that feels lighter on its feet when you brake and far more confident when you lean on it from speed.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The Hollow rear brake kit is built around a two-piece floating disc with hollow internal vanes, which removes material from the rotor to cut weight and open up cooling paths through the disc face. Less rotating mass at the rear hub means a touch quicker brake response and a small reduction in unsprung weight, both worthwhile on a GT as heavy as the 970, while the floating mount lets the rotor expand under heat without coning. The kit is engineered for the rear axle and pairs its discs with calipers finished in your choice of Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with a Pantone Custom Color for £150 to suit your build. Disc faces come drilled or slotted at the same price, and the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized finish in five colours or to titanium. Pad choice is where you tune the system to your use – Street for refined road driving, Sport for harder fast-road work, and Racing for the temperatures a track session brings, where fade resistance comes first – and an optional Hollow Racing caliper – no dust cover, rated to 1000C, two-year warranty – is there for hard circuit use. It is a bolt-on upgrade for owners who want stronger, more consistent rear braking than the factory steel setup gives, without committing to a full ceramic system.
Fitment for the Porsche Panamera 970 (2010-2016)
This kit is sized for the 970-generation Porsche Panamera built between 2010 and 2016 – Porsche’s first-generation four-door GT. It is rear-axle hardware, designed to fit the 970 chassis. Confirm your year and exact variant against the options above before ordering so the disc and caliper spec matches your car.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
